CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
The next morning we all woke up, went downstairs for breakfast, and talked.
After Beth, Amie, Jessica, Emily, Mary, Bri, and I got done with breakfast we got into a braiding train.
In the front was Emily, then Mary, then Amie, the Beth, then me, then Bri, then Jessica, and lastly Mom.
We all had a single braid in our hair, blue tank-tops, and jean shorts.
Once everyone was done braiding everyone's hair we all piled into the car.
Mom dropped off Amie and Beth, then Mary and Emily, then Bri. Mom then took Jessica and I back home to pack for Texas. Mine and Jessica's list included these things: leotards, gymnastics shorts, tank-tops, jean shorts, jeans, t-shirts, a dress, a few skirts, a few dress tops, grips, chalk, and a few family and friend photos. Also of course our phones, iPods, chargers, money, laptops, and portable DVD player.
Dusty came to dinner that night to discuss Texas with us.
"I know that you're probably worried about Sadie and Jessica going to Texas for five months with only me. I just found out that Molly Evens and Mandy Sour are also going to be there but they are leaving a month after us."
"So there will be a female adult there after a month?" Mom asked
"Correct."
"Ok."
*time skip*
"Is that all your questions?" Dusty asked
"Yes." Mom and Dad replied
"Girls?"
"Yep."
"Ok, no practice until we get in Texas so you can hangout with your friends and family. I'll pick you up you on Saturday around 4am."
"That early?" Dad asked
"Our plane leaves at 5:30 we can't be late."
"Ok."
"I'll see you guys Saturday! Bye." Dusty told us
"Bye!" We all said in unison
Jessica taught Mom, Dad, Brooke, and Connor how to use FaceTime while I helped set up emails.
Brooke and Connor figured out FaceTime and so everyone said they'd help Mom and Dad.
I set up a email for Connor, Brooke, David, and Jack. All of these ways to communicate with Jessica and I.
On Monday I spent that afternoon with Kenzie, Kaylee, Keely, and Megan while Jessica spent it with Quinn, Maddie, and Miranda.
I spent Tuesday afternoon with Hunter while Jessica spent it with Quinn, Maddie, and Miranda again.
I gave Hunter one last kiss and hug.
"I love you Hunter"
"I love you too Sadie"
"I'll miss you Hunter"
"I'll miss you too Sadie, but I'll wait for you to come back"
We kissed then said our last goodbye
"Goodbye Hunter, I'll love you forever and always. I'll text you once I get to Texas and I'll FaceTime you every night."
"Goodbye Sadie, I'll love you forever and always too. I'll be waiting for that text and those calls every night."
He then left and I cried. At school the next morning we had a random peep rally.
Jessica and I walked in together with our friends. Inside the gymnasium there was a poster that said, 'We're cheering for Sadie and Jessica Anderson for the 2016 Olympics!'
The principle had Jessica and I say a few words then the peep rally was dismissed.
Clayton picked us up one last time and we had that old after school car ride conversation.
"Sadie! Jessica! How was school?" Clayton asked
"Sad." we said at the same time
"I'm sorry to here that."
"How was yours?" I asked
"Good."
We pulled up to Jack's school and he got in
"How was your guys' school day?" He asked
"Sad" Jessica and I said again in unison
"Good." Clayton said
"Mine was good too" Jack said uneasily
When we got home I went to my room and cried. After a little while Jessica came in.
"Sadie, It'll all be ok. We'll have each other forever. No matter what. I love you Sadie"
"You don't know that it'll all be ok! I love you too no matter what Jessica"
We then laid in my bed and cried. Then Jack and Clayton came in, climbed in my bed with Jessica and I, and cried with us.
When Mom and Dad came home with everyone else, Mom came into my room hugged all of us and then called everyone into my room. We all sat on my bed.
"Now I know that all of us are sad to see Jessi and Sadie leave for five months, but we'll all still be together. All of us will forever, through our hearts. As long as we all love each other, which I believe we do, then we'll always be together. Today's our last regular day. Let's make the most of it."
We all agreed then piled in the car to get ice cream from Sonic.
