"I do not care whether or not she was a bride-zilla. You nearly destroyed the reputation of the company."

"That's all you care about." Jillian snapped. "Is this company."

"This company has kept us clothed and fed for more than two decades. It also pays for all the vacations, and shopping sprees you're so fond of. So the next time you want revenge against a bride who is paying us a very large sum of money to put up with their shit," Taylor leaned across her desk, "Get a diary and write it all down, but if you ever pull a stunt like this again, I'll replace you both."

"You won't do that." Sloan stood, and reached for his wife's hand. "I'm a Dixon. You never fire family."

"I won't fire you." Taylor snapped, "I'll demote you."

Sloan snorted as he pulled his wife towards the door, "I'll just take it up with Mom."

"Read you're contract..."

"Yeah, we know." Jillian cried, "You made your own brother sign a contract so you can keep him under your thumb."

"Everyone has a contract," Taylor reminded them, "to protect both this company, and ourselves." She cringed as the office door slammed. "Oh, I love my job." Her cell began to ring. "Yes, Mom."

"What did you do to your brother?"

"Geez, he literally just walked out of here; he already called you?"

"Yes, and screamed at me. I hung up on him."

Taylor giggled. "Great, that'll just piss him off more."

"Sorry, hon. But I'm not going to tolerate that behavior."

"I don't blame you."

"Oh, before I forget. Alex had a personal emergency come up. He said he will have to reschedule our dinner."

"That's not a bad thing, Mom. I've had a day from hell. All I want to do is go home, and soak in the tub."

"How about if I bring over dinner, and watch a movie before you soak?"

""I've got work to do tonight." Taylor picked up her bag, and stuffed her laptop inside, "I'm going to soak, find something to munch on, and then get to work."

"Fine. I'll bring dinner over, and keep you company. How about that?"

Taylor rolled her eyes, her mother was not going to give up. "Fine. I'll see you in an hour." She locked the office door behind her, and pushed the elevator button.

The cab was empty as she stepped on, but stopped on the third floor. Taylor was shocked when the doors opened, and her fantasy man stood on the other side. He was on his phone, and didn't immediately look up as he stepped on. He glanced at the buttons and then at her. He froze, as their eyes met.

"Yes, Allie, I'm listening." He said into the phone after a moment. "I hear you, Allie. I just don't agree with you."

Taylor's phone jingled, she dug it out of her purse, and stifled a groan when she saw the caller ID. "Yes, Liv."

"We've got a bride about to go off." Liv's voice was pitched with excitement.

"What happened?"

"The M-O-T-G just screamed at her. I got the bitch out of there as soon as I could but not before the damage was done. Poor Lisa is crying. She's refusing to let the crew in to do her hair and makeup."

"What was the Groom's mother yelling about?" The elevator reached the first floor. The doors opened. Taylor stepped off and turned as the man from Chicago stepped off behind her. He moved a few feet away, still on the phone. Great, just as he finally found her, she had to go.
