"Oh, Taylor, I'm so sorry. I tripped, and my foot caught on the bottom." The bride stood before the floor length mirror, and stared tearfully at the long rip in the white gown she wore. "Your hard work is ruined."

Taylor shook her head and sat the big oval sewing box on the floor. She knelt on the floor in front of the bride, "Let me see what I can do, Tess."

"Do I need to take it off?"

"No, there's no time. I'll do a quick fix that will get you through the wedding, and the reception."  Ten minutes later, as she packed up her sewing box, Taylor watched the bride enter the hall. The music cued, and she was gone. As the doors closed, a phone began ringing. Taylor pulled it out of her jeans pocket. "It's Sunday, Amy. Please tell me this is an emergency."

"I'm sorry, Miss Dixon, it is important. Your presence is required at the Spa Lobby as soon as possible."

Taylor could hear the note of panic in the young woman's voice. Considering Amy was one of the most level headed, and calm people, she had ever known, Taylor knew this was serious. "I'll be right there." She hurried out to her jeep, and stowed the sewing box in its place in the trunk. When she pulled under the covered awning in front of the spa a few minutes later, she was surprised to see three of the resorts security vehicles parked in front.

The sounds of a woman screeching reached her as soon as she entered the lobby. Thankfully, Sunday nights were slow at the resort, so few guests witnessed a woman throwing a fit at the reception desk.

Shawn, and two of his men were trying to calm her down. Standing off to the side, were two bedraggled children. A teenager stood holding a wrapped bundle in one arm, while her other was wrapped around the shoulders of a small girl at her side.

As she approached, a pitiful mewling sound came to her. It took a moment for her to realize it was coming from the bundle in the teenagers arms. She paused in front of the girl, "May I see?"

Fear lit in the girls eyes, "I tried to take care of him." She whispered. "But she wouldn't stop to get water for the formula."

Taylor pulled back the blanket that covered the baby. What she saw scared her to the core. "When is the last time this baby ate?"

"Yesterday." The girl answered. "He's my brother. I promised my mother I would take care of him, but she wouldn't stop."

It was obvious the baby was trying to cry, but didn't have the energy to do more then make the mewling sound. "We need to get your little brother help." Taylor said.

"I was hoping Daddy would be here. He would know how to help him."

"Who's your dad?"

"Taylor." Amy approached from around the desk. "These are Dr. Carver's children. They arrived a few minutes ago, with that woman." She pointed to the screeching woman with Shawn and his men.

"Where's Alex?" Taylor asked.

"He's at the hospital."

Taylor turned to the kids, "Where's your Mom?"

The older girl's eyes filled with tears. "She went on her honeymoon."

Taylor forced a smile for the children. "Good for her." She turned to Amy. "Please ask Nancy to send the chopper."

Amy nodded, and hurried back to the desk.

The tiny little girl standing next to the teenager looked up at Taylor. "Mommy flew away."

"Did she?" Taylor bent down. "Well that's okay. In a few minutes, we're going to go up that elevator, and fly away ourselves."

"Are we going to go see Mommy?"
