He trailed his fingers slowly down her arm. His lips found the soft sensitive spot behind her ear. Her head dropped to the side, a moan slid from her throat. His arms slid around her from behind, pulling her closer.
"Tay..."
Taylor jerked out of her memory, and looked up at her assistant. "Yes, Opal?"
"They're ready for you in the conference room." The grey haired assistant stood in the doorway, with a smile.
Taylor glanced at the clock on her desk, "Five o'clock, right on time."
"They're here, but they aren't happy." Opal said. "Dinner has been set out. They're eating. Hopefully that will settle them down."
"Has my mother arrived?"
"Yes, and as usual, she's stirring the pot."
Taylor pushed back from her chair, "Then I had better get in there." She grabbed her tablet off the edge of her desk. Her heels clicked against the hardwood floors as she crossed to her office, and entered the conference room next door. "Good evening."
Seven head swiveled around. "It's about time." Her sister Daisy snapped.
"Did you all get dinner?"
"Yes," Lily Dixon, the matriarch of the family, said from her place at the head of the table.
Taylor sat her tablet down on the other end, and went to the sideboard to fill a plate with grilled chicken and vegetables. "So," She said, returning to the table, "How was everyone's week?" After settling in her seat, she studied the other occupants of the table.
Her twenty-five year old brother, Sloan, and his wife Jillian sat to their mothers left. Across from them, sat twenty-three year old identical twins Olivia and Daisy. Daisy was nine months pregnant. Her husband Thomas sat next to her.
On the other side of the table, next to Taylor, sat twenty-one year old twins Henry and Robin, the youngest members of the Dixon family.
They all sat silently eating. "Alright," Taylor sighed. "I guess everyone had a crappy week."
The table stayed silent.
"Oh, for heavens sake." Lily glared around the table at her children. "I'll start." She pushed her plate away and sipped her coffee. "the Spa did well this week. We had three birthday parties, two weddings, and two seminars. We stayed between sixty to eighty percent occupied the entire week."
"Good numbers, Mom. Thanks." Taylor looked to the others, "What's lined up for next week?"
"Valentine's week is very busy. The restaurant will be fully booked. We've got two weddings, and a birthday party. There's also several proposals planned." Lily said.
"Great. What about Dixon Castle?" Taylor asked looking to Sloan.
Her blonde, blue eyed brother looked to his wife.
Jillian pushed her plate away, "Last week, there were ten weddings. We had a hundred percent occupancy on five of the seven nights."
Taylor beamed, "Very nice. How does your week look?"
"We've got a closed week long wedding." Jillian answered, "There are three hundred guests, and we predict full occupancy for all seven nights."
"Great." Taylor turned to Olivia. "The beach?"
"It's winter," Olivia answered, "This is our slow season, as I said last week. We haven't had many guests, but that will change this week. We've got a wedding, and a proposal. All fifty bungalows are reserved."
