Fair Echo lived by the water
And from afar she did see
The handsome man never falter
From his path, chasing deer easily.

Echo had been cursed long ago
Her voice resigned to a copy;
Taken from her by the Goddess Juno
She suffered a lonely journey.

Narcissus did not return her love,
He was as a cold as a waxing moon.
He pined for himself as the stars above
Condemned Echo to the silence of doom.
