Chapter 3 Secrets

A/N: Sorry, this is a really short one. But I wanted to do one more before I called it a night (Or.. morning considering its 6AM here :P) This is the shortest chapter I've done So it feels a little odd. and I apologize in advance for the ending XD (Sorry OpalScorpion XD ) 

Kassidy POV

"I'll get it!" I said and got up and hurried to the door. I opened it and smiled at Killian. He discreetly handed me my phone.

"You left this at my house." He said.

"Thanks." I whispered.

"Are you sure we are ready to do this?" He asked. I nodded and glanced back at David walking into the living room.

"Come in Mr. Jones." I said and smiled.

"Thank you Miss Cole." He said and walked inside.

"I hope you are hungry. The Nolan's tend to cook for an army." I said. He chuckled nervously.

We sat around the table. I sat next to Killian and we began eating. It was the first thing I had been able to eat without getting sick for a week.

Spaghetti, Good. Cheeseburgers, Bad.

We all made small talk while we ate which was incredibly awkward. Of course David asked about how Emma and I were doing in class. Killian at least didn't mention the little spat the two of us got into earlier. Mrs. Nolan was a little more quiet than usual but I assumed it was because she was nervous about what was going to happen.

When we all finished eating, David and Killian sat in the living room watching a football game on TV. Emma and I helped Mary Margaret tidy up the kitchen.

"You are still telling him tonight right?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Yes...I'm about to. I'm just.. you don't think Hes going to hurt him right?" I asked.

"I..don't think so? But there is going to be a lot of yelling."

"Maybe not." Emma said. "He was pretty cool about Neal."

"Yes, but Emma honey...Neal isn't 6 years older than you, or your teacher." Mary Margaret said. "Come on. I'll try to keep him calm. But its best we get this over with." She added. The three of us walked into the living room.

Killian stood from the couch.

"Its, getting late." He said. "I should be getting home."

"If..,you wait, I'll come with you." I said.

David nearly spit out his beer.

"Kassidy, that's highly inappropriate." He said.

"Its really not." I said and walked over beside Killian and sighed. "You said you wanted to meet my boyfriend so... Here he is." I said. I could feel Killian's entire body tense as he braced himself.

"This is a joke right? You're joking." David said. Killian shook his head.

"No, sir." He said and cleared his throat. David stood up.

"You, and Me. Outside." He said to Killian.

Oh God..

"David. Wait.." I said.

"You stay here!" He snapped at me. I flinched. David lead Killian outside. I looked back at Mary Margaret with a panicked expression on my face.

Killian POV

As soon as we were outside I was shoved into the siding of the house and held there by David's forearm.

"David, just let me explain." I said.

"Explain what?? How you seduced an innocent 17 year old girl into having sex with you?!" He demanded.

"That's not at all how it happened. She was 18 before anything like that happened and I didn't seduce her." I said and moved my head out of the way just in time his fist slammed into the siding of the house.

"David! Stop!" I yelled and pushed him off of me.

"What the hell are you even thinking? She's your student! You are there to teach her, not to date her!" He yelled.

"I know.. I know. I didn't just see her and think to myself that we would end up in this situation. It wasn't planned, and we both tried to fight the feelings we had but we couldn't." I said and ducked out of the way as he swung his fist again.

"You better stay the hell away from her!" He said.

"That's not going to happen David. I know that she is like a second daughter to you, and she sees you as her second father but she's 18 Her choices are her own." I said. This time I wasn't fast enough his fist hit me hard enough in the mouth to knock me back a few steps.

"You son of a bitch.." He said. "I should have known something was up. When you brought her to the hospital the day she tried to kill herself. How else would you have known to be there? I should go to the school board."

"If you do that, it won't just be my life you ruin. Kassidy will get expelled." I said. He paced.

"You are sick." He said.

"David, its a 6 year age difference. Its not that much." I said.

"Is that what you told her? To get her to fall for you?" He asked.

"It was mutual! She wasn't forced into anything!" I yelled.

Emma ran outside.

"Dad! Help! Its Kassidy!" She said with tears in her eyes. At that moment, both of us put the fighting aside and ran into the house. Kassidy was lying on the floor unconscious. David knelt down to check her pulse.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I don't know. She was just standing her and then fell over."

"Did you call 911?!" I asked.

"Mom did" Emma said, she was shaking.

"Emma...what is it?" I asked.

"I can't tell you.. she told me not to." Emma said.

"Emma!" I yelled.

"She's..pregnant." Emma said.

"She's WHAT?!" David and I said at the same time. My heart felt like it was going to explode. This explained so much but what the hell didn't she want me to know? I was so angry and so worried at the same time. 
Kass..you better be okay because We have a lot to talk about. I thought as I could hear the sirens from the ambulance rounding the corner.
