A/N: Taking a short break from the Drama and throwing in a short, cutesy little fluff chapter just for fun. :) Enjoy.
Killian POV
Kassidy had been home for a couple of days, and had protested it every minute which was typical for her. I was in the kitchen preparing dinner. so far she had done pretty good keeping things down, We discovered that the twins did not like bacon, Kassidy came to the conclusion that they were not her children because how could her children not like bacon? I set the spaghetti on the back burner and started working on the salad. I opened the fridge and pulled everything out, except for the olives, that I could have sworn I bought last week.
"Kass..Love have you seen the-" I started and turned around and saw her walk into the kitchen with a now nearly empty jar of olives and a fork.
"Olives." I said and smirked. "You ate all of my olives? You hate olives."
"What makes you believe I hate olives?" She asked.
"Last week, when I bought them and you said, ew, gross. Olives." I said and gave her a look.
"I don't recall." She said and shrugged. I arched an eyebrow at her.
"Calm your eyebrows. I will get you more olives." She said and opened the freezer.
"What are you looking for?" I asked.
"Ice cream." She said.
"I'm making dinner love." I said.
"Are you making ice cream for dinner?" She asked and put her hand on her hips looking at me. "Your children are demanding rocky road which is absurd because mint chocolate chip is clearly the best." She said.
I smirked. "I will go get them some rocky road, after dinner." I said. "Because, their mum, can not survive on olives and ice cream alone." She smiled at me.
"I like that word." She said. "Mum."
"Well I should certainly hope so." I grinned. She leaned against the counter.
"Are you going to let me go to school tomorrow Mr. Jones?" She asked.
"If you promise to take care of yourself, and if you start to get sick you tell me." I said. She nodded.
"I will." She said. I gave her a look. I knew better.
"What? I will!" She said and rolled her eyes.
"You better." I said. She put her hand over her stomach and walked over to the pot of spaghetti on the stove and stared at it.
"Are you hungry?" I asked with a laugh.
"Yes." She said and grabbed a plate and piled spaghetti on it. "No salad for me. I just want this." She said and grabbed a fork and dug in. She looked in thought for a moment while she chewed.
"Does it need anything?" I asked.
"Yes." She said and walked to the fridge and grabbed the ranch dressing and the jar of pickle slices. She poured ranch all over the spaghetti and then placed Pickles all over the top of it. My face twisted in disgust.
"What.. is that abomination??" I asked. She took a bite.
"Not an abomination. Perfection." She smirked and walked to the table with her plate.
At least she's eating.
I stepped back into the house after going out to get Kassidy's ice cream. I took the ice cream out of the bag and walked over to her holding it up.
"Rocky Road, for the mum-to-be." I said.
"Oooo!" She squealed and reached for the ice cream. I held it away from her.
"Who do you love?" I asked with a smirk.
"You!" She whined. "Now gimmie that!" She said I grinned and handed over the ice cream and walked to the kitchen to get her a spoon because bowls were obsolete when Kassidy was here, and there was ice cream involved. I brought her the spoon and sat down on the couch. She curled into me and dug into the ice cream.
"Are we happy?" I asked.
"We are overjoyed." She smiled and passed the ice cream to me. "Dad-to-be needs ice cream to."
I chuckled. "I don't know if I should be afraid that you are actually sharing your ice cream with me." I said.
"Well.. I did eat your olives." She said. "And your peanut butter cups while you were gone." She said and snuggled into me. How could I be mad when she did that? I laughed.
"You are out of control."
"Its not me. Its these bacon hating Extraterrestrials that are currently living inside of me." She said and took her ice cream back and took a few more bites before her face paled.
uh oh
She dropped the ice cream on the coffee table and made a dead run for the bathroom. I followed her to make sure she was okay. I held her hair back as she became acquainted with the toilet. She groaned and sat back against my legs.
"So..Rocky road is a no go." I said. She stood and walked to the sink to grab her tooth brush.
"I'm sorry." She mumbled before she started brushing her teeth.
"What are you sorry for?" I asked. "You can't help it."
She spit the tooth paste out in the sink and rinsed her tooth brush.
"I just know this isn't much fun, playing which food is going to make Kassidy puke today." She said.
"Hey, its okay. There's no one else I'd rather play that game with." I smirked. She glanced sideways at me and smiled slightly.
"I'm going to make you some tea to help settle your stomach." I said. She gave me a look.
"Don't worry. I'm not drugging you this time." I said and laughed and walked to the kitchen. She walked back to the couch and wrapped the throw blanket around herself. When I got back to the living room with her tea she was fast asleep. I smiled and set the tea down and lifted her off the couch and carried her to the bedroom. I laid her gently on the bed and pressed my lips to hers.
"Goodnight love." I whispered and then moved down to her stomach I lifted her shirt slightly and pressed my lips to the skin on her stomach and pulled away.
"Goodnight little ones." I smiled.
