Chapter 17 Bedrest

Kassidy POV

I sighed, bed rest sucked. I felt fine, I didn't understand why I had to be in bed all week, it was especially horrible, because Killian was making me stay home because he couldn't be off for a week to make sure I wasn't getting up and doing jumping jacks or some shit. So, David took the week off to help me around the house and make sure I stayed put. I was bored to death. I tried texting Graham for the 4th time today. He hadn't answered my text messages all week and it was starting to piss me off, though I was hormonal, and bored, the wall paper at this point was pissing me off.

Fuck this.

I sighed and stood out of bed and stretched. I had been good most of the week and I felt fine. I was going to school. I walked to the closet and grabbed my school clothes and put them on. I crept down the stairs, David was taking a mid noon nap on the couch. I smirked and walked to the kitchen and wrote a quick note letting him know where I went and snuck out the door. 

I walked into the school just in time for lunch, which was good because I was craving one of those normally repulsive chicken sandwiches from the cafeteria. Emma's eyes widened as I sat down with them.

"How.. the hell did you get past my Dad?" She asked.

"He was sleeping. Don't worry I left a note." I said and bit into my sandwich.

"What are you doing here? You haven't been cleared by the doctor to be back yet. Not until Friday." Emma said.

"I got bored Em, besides I'm fine."

"Killian is going to kill you." Ruby said.

"He'll get over it. I don't feel stressed at all, and my blood pressure was fine this morning." I said and shrugged. Emma turned my head to the left. Killian was approaching the table with his angry eyes locked onto me.

"How's your blood pressure now?" Emma asked.

"Fuck.." I said. "What day is it?"

"Wednesday. Did you forget Killian had lunch duty on Wednesday?" Ruby asked.

"Fuck.." I repeated. I thought I was going to at least get through lunch before I bumped into him.

"Miss Cole. Come with me." Killian said

"I'm...eating." I said and glanced down at the table.

"Now." He said with gritted teeth. I sighed and stood up.

"We'll say how awesome you were at your funeral." Ruby said. I started walking away but turned around and grabbed my sandwich. I wanted this fucking sandwich I was eating it. Even if it was my last meal. I followed Killian to his classroom. He shut the door and locked it.

"Did the cafeteria get beds?" He asked.

"Well.. I mean you work here. You should know." I said. He narrowed his eyes at me

Just keep digging that grave Kassidy.

He went to say something but I stopped him

"Before you start yelling, remember. No stress." I said.

"Which is exactly why you are supposed to be home, in bed. Why are you here? The doctor made it clear you were not to be here until Friday."

"I got bored. I checked my blood pressure this morning it was fine. I hate just staying in bed Killian." I said and sighed.

"I know you do. But it isn't about what you like or don't like Kassidy, Its about making sure that you and the boys are safe. How did you get here?" He asked.
