Kassidy POV

"I'm sorry Miss Cole there is just no way that I can drop you from Mr. Jones class." Ms Mills said to me.

She could she just wont.

"There is no other Math teacher in this school? I can't take the class online?" I asked.

"No. Is there something I should know about Mr. Jones? A reason that you are so desperate to be moved from his class?" She asked.

Hes a lying son of a bitch. Hes also the devil.

"No. I just.. never mind. Fine. Can you at least give me a different Art Teacher?" I asked.

"No. I can't. Mrs. Jones is a wonderful art teacher, I'm sure you will like her, if you actually show up to school and go to class." She said.

Lady.. you really don't want me in the same room as that woman.

"Ugh. Whatever.." I said and stood up and walked out of the office and down the hall. I had 10 minutes before I had to be in Killian's class. 10 minutes to decide if I was actually going to show up or just run out of the school and go anywhere else.

"I know that look." Graham said approaching me.

"What look?" I asked.

"That fight or flight look and I know you are leaning towards Flight, but don't do it. Stay. Whoever it is that is making you want to leave will win if you leave." he said. I didn't care if Killian won at this point I just didn't know how I was going to look at him and not break.

"Tell me who it is." He said.

"I can't Graham. I'm sorry." I said.

"Its okay.." He said. "Come on. I'll walk to class with you." He said and smiled. I nodded and we walked down the hallway slowly to Killian's classroom. I knew he could feel me start to become increasingly uncomfortable because he grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Its going to be okay." He whispered as we walked into the classroom. Killian looked up at me and down at my hand that was laced with Grahams.

"I know you are new Mr. Humbert but PDA is not tolerated in this school." He said. Graham let go of my hand and we sat down. I could feel Killians eyes on me but I refused to look his way. I stared down at my desk. The bell rang, and Killian stood from his desk to start today's lesson. I had no idea what the lesson was even about, I couldn't even focus on his words the only thing I could focus on was trying to breathe and trying not to cry. He started handing out work sheets.

"I want these done, and on my desk by the end of the period." He said as he put one on my desk and walked by. I grabbed my pencil and looked down at the work sheet, which may as well have been in Latin. I had no idea how to do any of this.

Killian POV

I sat back down at my desk and looked at Kassidy. Around her eyes was red and puffy. Her eyes were bloodshot, and her grey iris's that usually sparked with mischief and mayhem were dull as if everything had been drained out of her. I felt miserable. I did this to her. I watched her roll her pencil between the fingers on her left hand while her right hand tangled in her hair out of frustration. I sighed and stood up and crouched down beside her desk.

"Need help?" I asked. She looked up at me, the first time she had made eye contact all class period. She quickly looked down and shook her head.

"No." She said quietly.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"I can help her Mr. Jones..." Ruby said and looked at me with a back the hell off look. I nodded.
