2 Months Later
Kassidy POV
"Are you sure you don't want us to stay? We can always go another time Kass." David said.
"Yes, go take your summer vacation, the boys and I will be fine here." I smiled trying to shoo the Nolan's out the door before they changed their minds. "Tell him Sean." I said and waved Sean's little hand at him.
"Say Bye grandpa David we will be fine." David smirked.
"Okay, okay. We will go. But if you need anything..."
"I will call Killian." I said and shrugged. Emma walked over with Alastair in her arms.
"I'm gonna miss them." She said and put him down in his crib
"You guys are only going to be gone for two weeks and I'll send you pictures every day." I smiled.
"You better." Emma said and gave Sean a kiss on his forehead. "Auntie Emma loves her boys." I smiled.
"You better go. You'll miss your flight!" I said.
"Right." Mary Margaret said and smiled. "One more time.. are you sure?" She asked. I groaned and rolled my eyes.
"Guys! Go!" I said.
"Okay, we are going!" She smiled and they left. I glanced down at Al who was sleeping in his crib and looked down at Sean who was staring up at me with a little smile on his face.
"Any chance you are going to sleep too so Momma can study for her GED?" I asked. He just gave me a silly look.
"Didn't think so." I smirked. "I see Daddy has been teaching you how to work that brow bone. You're gonna be a little heart breaker. Yes you are." I sighed and sat down in my computer chair with him in my arms. I could have called Killian to come and help me out with them so I could study, but how was I going to ever do this on my own if I kept relying on everyone else? That and I was sure Killian was busy with Melody anyways. He saw the boys often and it was always a little awkward between the two of us. When the boys were born a couple of months ago, there was this moment of peace and forgiveness where nothing from the past mattered and just days after, my walls went back up. I couldn't move on, but I couldn't let go. I was stuck in limbo and it sucked.
"Daddy has just made a big ol mess of Mommy hasn't he?" I asked. Al started crying from his crib.
"Well, that was a quick nap." I said and stood up and placed Sean in his Crib so I could pick up Alastair and as soon as I had Alastair in my arms Sean started crying. I sighed and tried rocking the crib back and forth while he wailed. This was going to be a long night, let alone two weeks.
Killian POV
I sighed and ran my hand through my hair flipping through TV channels, every now and then checking my phone to see if Kassidy needed help with anything. I knew the Nolan's were gone for the next two weeks but I also knew Kassidy was stubborn as hell and likely wouldn't ask for my help anyways so I wasn't sure why I kept checking. I was trying to give her, her space. I thought things were going okay, but just days after the boys were born she shut me out all over again. I didn't talk to her much at all, when I'd take the boys she'd practically push me out the door, yet she would call me all night to check on them. I even told her that Melody and I had never been dating but she was just so busy with the boys that she was not having anything to do with me. I missed her like crazy with every part of me. I sighed and turned off the TV and checked my phone again.
