Chapter 35 Arrival

Kassidy POV

I sat on the couch in the living room sighing and putting my head in my hands

"Henry you didn't have to come over." I said. "I'm 19 I don't need a babysitter."

"Well, David just wanted me to check in on you since you could literally pop at any moment." He said and laughed "And besides, I like our talks."

"But Mary Margaret and Emma will be right back." I said. "I like our talks too but I haven't exactly been in the talking mood." I sighed.

"Killian?" He asked.

"How'd you guess?" I asked.

"I know things. So when are you going to tell him that you aren't over him?" Henry asked.

"I'm not." I said and shrugged.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because, Hes happy with Melody. Hes moved on. Why should I drag him back into my insanity?" I asked.

"Because he loves you, and your insanity." Henry said.

"Well, he did. Now he loves Melody and hers... or her lack of. She seemed pretty together." I said. Henry sighed.

"Put your stubbornness aside, throw the pride away too and call him. I promise you its not how you think it is." He said.

"How would you know?"

"I'm kind of a believer in true love and.. I met Melody and had a conversation with the two of them and believe me. Its not true love."

"Since when are you and Killian besties?"

"Since I found out that he was a 24 year old Algebra teacher who was at one point dating my 17 year old sister." Henry said.

"Okay you didn't even know me back then and how did you fin-Oh.. yeah your mother." I sighed. "Well now I'm 19 and Hes 26 and Hes not even my teacher anymore and we aren't together."

"I still wanted to get to know him, those are my nephews in there after all." He smiled.

"Yeah yeah.." I sighed.

"So../you gonna call him?"

"No, Henry. I'm not." I said. "But you know what I am gonna do? I'm gonna make a sandwich because I'm hungry." I said. "Want one?"

"Sure." He smiled. I stood up and walked a couple steps and stopped dead in my tracks suddenly feeling something wet, and slimy  go down my leg. I turned around wide eyed to Henry.

"Kass.. you are.. uh.. leaking." He said.

"I'm not leaking Henry. My water just broke." I cried.

"Oh.. OHH! Okay uh... What do I do?" He asked.

"Take me to the hospital Henry!!" I screamed.

"Okay Okay.. lets go." He said and led me out to his car.

"Please don't give birth in my car." He said as he helped me in.

I glared at him.

Killian POV

Melody and I were watching the TV and chatting when my phone started ringing. I looked down and saw Henry's number.

"I got to take this. I will be right back." I said and grabbed my phone and walked to the kitchen and answered it.

"Henry, what's up?" I asked.

"Uhh. How fast can you get to the hospital?" He asked.

"Why what's wrong?" I heard Kassidy screaming in the background.

"What the bloody hell was that??" I asked.

"GET THESE LITTLE MONSTERS OUT OF ME" Kassidy screamed.

"Oh.. Hell,  is she in Labor?!" I asked.

"Yes. Get here. As fast as you can." I hung up the phone and ran over to Melody.

"I have to go. the boys are coming." I said.

"Go! Hurry up! You don't want to miss it." She said and pushed me out the door tossing me my keys.

When I got to the hospital I ran inside in a complete panic.

"Kassidy Cole.. where is she?" I asked.

" She Is in Labor and Delivery.. you can't just go back there." She said.

"I'm her bloody husband so yeah! I think I can!" I lied and ran back towards Labor and delivery and just followed the screams from there until I found Henry.

"Where is she??" I asked.

"This way." He said and led me down the hall. "She was ready to go as soon as we got here so they weren't able to give her anything for pain."

"I can bloody tell it sounds like she's being murdered." I said.

"What did you tell them at the front desk to get back her so fast? I had to fill out like 20 pieces of paper!" Henry said.

"I told them I was her husband.." I said. Henry just smirked as he led me to Kassidy's room. She was a mess. A Sweaty, and exhausted mess but she was the most god damn beautiful mess I had ever set my eyes on and I couldn't help but smile.

"Push Kassidy!" Doctor Matthews instructed.

"I can't.." She cried. "I can't do it."

"Yes you can! Baby one is crowning Push!" She instructed. Kassidy looked at me.

"Killian?" She cried out. I rushed to her side and took her hand.

"You can do this Kassi." I said. She squeezed my hand until I thought it would break and pushed letting out a horrible scream and just like that.. Baby one came into the world screaming.

Sean.

"Okay Kass just one more you can do it." I said.

"I can't do it.. I can't.." She cried She was exhausted and giving up.

"Look at me." She turned her head towards me.

"You CAN do it. I've always believed in you and I'm not giving up now."

"Just one more Big Push Kassidy come on." Doctor Matthews coached.

This time I was certain she was going to break my hand as she screamed and pushed again. I watched as Doctor Matthews held Alastair up as he came out. But...he wasn't crying. He wasn't making a sound.

"Why can't I hear him?" Kassidy asked.

The doctors were silent as they were doing something, Neither Kassidy nor I could see what they were doing.

"What are they doing to him? Where is my baby?" Kassidy cried.

"I'm sure everything is fine love." I said though I was panicking on the inside. It was just a couple more seconds before Alastair finally started crying and everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief.

Doctor Matthews walked over with Sean wrapped up in a blanket and handed him to Kassidy. She was bawling as she looked at him.

"Hey little love." She cried. "Momma's got you." I grinned ear to ear as tears slipped from my eyes.

A second doctor in the room handed me Alastair and at that moment I knew true love.

"Congratulations you two. We will leave you two alone for a moment." Doctor Matthews smiled at me before leaving the room. I smiled down at the little baby in my arms and looked over at Kassidy who was smiling at me.

"You did it love." I smiled. "They're perfect."

"They look just like you." She said. "Of course they have my nose thank god." She laughed.

I laughed with her and sat down in the chair next to her with Al and for that moment any ill feelings were pushed aside and everything changed.
