Evan's POV (4 years later)

I'm moving back in with my mom temporarily until I can find a house near the neighborhood I grew up in. I get off of the bus stop I took to school for four years of my life. I see my mom's house and my heart fills with nostalgia.

I drag along my suitcase as I walk towards my house. Suddenly, I see a familiar grinning face. I feel my hand slip off of the suitcase handle and my backpack slip off of my back. I run into the arms of Connor Murphy, tears streaming down my rosy cheeks.

Connor's POV

It was lonely for four years with no school and no Evan. But, I grin as I see him get off of the bus he'd take to school. He drops his bags and grins, running into my open arms as I run towards him. Tears run down both of our faces as we laugh. We haven't seen each other in four years. It's insane. He pulls his face away from my chest and looks into my misty eyes. He grins and presses his lips firmly into my own, I kiss him back, smiling into his teeth.

Evan's POV

I press my lips into Connor's. I think that a heart is like a flower, a rose. When you love someone it's like you're giving them a petal of your rose. If you (and your rose) spend too long  your rose hurts, and you need to get back to your petal. Right now, I'm with my petal.

"I love you, Connor Murphy " I whisper.

"I love you, too, Evan Hansen," he whispers back.
