They arrived at Leia's appartment and Dre was already exhausted. He went to bed immediately in his basket, a bed Leia had gotten for him. Dave took a shower while Leia read.
He came out wet with a towel round his waist.
"Dave you're messing up my floor" Leia stood to immediately chase him back into the bathroom and before she got to him he was already trotting back into the bathroom.
"Don't do that, the last thing you want is this towel coming off, trust me"
"You are so crazy" She threw a pillow at him, it hit him and it fell into Dre's basket. Dre woke up abruptly and barked.
"See" Dave giggled and so did she.
"Sorry baby" Leia said to her dog and picked him up, cuddling him.
Dave continued to laugh all the way back into the bathroom, taking with him his pajamas.
"What time is your flight tomorrow?"
"Ten"
"In the morning?"
"Yep, I'm scheduled for surgery early Monday, then I have class"
"I miss all that" Leia said.
"You cant be serious, I wish I were you right now" Dave laughed.
"Well we opted to become what we are"
Dave came out dressed in pajama trousers and a body hugging grey shirt.
"You should take a break from all that you know, I told you to take a break"
"I just can't, anytime I want to, something urges me to keep going"
"Well you aretaking a brrak this time around" He walked to her, placed his hand on hers which rested on the key pad and lifted it up, then pulled her up to stand.
"Sorry, but you are going to bed, milady"
He smiled.
"Fine"
That was when Dave noticed her pajamas. It was mint green with teddy bears on it.
"You intentionally wore that to kill my sex appeal didn't you?"
Leia laughed so hard.
"You bet I did…on purpose too"
"I was hoping I was going to see you in a lingerie"
"You wish"
"Come here" He hugged her so tight sniffing her hair.
"Gosh I missed you"
"You should get used to it"
He kissed her on top of her head.
"Promise me you will take care of yourself out here"
"I promise" Leia broke the hug.
"Good girl…going to bed now"
"I'll join you in a bit"
Leia went back to working on her laptop while Dave lay down on the bed going through his mail and surfing the internet.
"You never got to show me your ride you know"
"I've got picures on my Ipad" Leia said.
"I'm so going to take her on a ride someday" Dave said.
"Sure" Leia said still staring at her screen. When she turned again to Dave he was fast asleep. She smiled and checked the time. It was past midnight.
