The protests went on and on.......the government tried to get the systems working but no, it just would not be allowed. The King decided it was time to address the people, publicly. Everyone thought it was bad idea but he was tired staying in the shadows while his country fell to ruin"
Casmir had called with the coordinates and Ruth and Jamal had refused to stay behind. They flew with the military people in their military plane.
"I can't believe I am doing this"
"I told you to stay back" Jamal said to his fiancée
"The hell I would, its my father doing all that to all those innocent people"
At that Jamal was silent. They touched down in Morocco and their first stop was to meet Casmir who by then was with Kay and the others. Kay had left Sefrou to start another protest in Marakech and together with Aunt Fathiya marched the people to the Sheiks house. He had locked himself inside, shut the gates and would allow absolutely no one in.
Jazmine and Jacob drove for three hours before reaching Marakech. She called Kay first.
"Kay....."
"Jazmine...thank God you are okay, where are you?"
"On my way to Marakech"
"Good.....you need to get here in time to see this.." While they still talked Jacob tirned up the radio...the King was giving his speech.
"Where is the King delivering his speech?"
"The town square not too far from the Marakech penthouse"
"Meet us there" Jazmine said.
"Dassa?" A different voice took over the phone.
"Jamal?" She said with open eyes.
"Yea, we're here, we're all here, Kia stayed behind though, she said she couldn't watch you die"
"Are you kidding me?" Jazmine laughed.
"I won't sit back and let you kill yourself while I do nothing, the military is here too"
"Doing what?"
"We're going to smoke the Sheik out.....all we need is a go ahead from the King"
And indeed they waited......Kay with a radio on his shoulder.
"Your make up artist seems to be handling things pretty well here" Jamal teased and she laughed.
"He is a man of many talents....i am going to the square......meet me there"
"Okay"
"And Jamal....."
"Yes?"
"Thanks for coming" Dassa said.
"Anytime" Jamal said and hang up.
"Change in location......we're going to the square" Dassa said to Jacob.
"My dear people, for years we have all been lied to and I am ashamed standing before youa s a King, your King admitting to my blindness. I have failed you al and I have allowed injustices to eb carried out on you. Today is the day we will all remember, as a painful one for the loss we as a nation has suffered. Those people should not have died the way they did, by the hand of a man who claims to be Holy. He has done the worst to us and forced us to blame our won, imprison our own, taking the law into his hands, he has killed, drove out and tortured many people, Jews, Christians and even Muslims. I stand before you pleading with you all to let all this end, this war amongst us before any other thing must come to an end.....but I promise you this....we will have our Justice"
