Joker is walking me to the practice tent when he stops suddenly. I stop too and turn back to look at him but he just stares at me with an unreadable look on his face.
"What? Did I screw up my makeup?" I ask self conscious and he just shakes his head a tiny bit, barely enough to be acknowledged.
"N-No." He says quietly and I take a step closer to him.
"What is it? What's going on?" I ask gently and he smiles a little bit at me.
"I... I need to tell you something. And i don't expect an answer... but I need to say something." He says and I raise an eyebrow at him, surprised.
"Yes?" I inquire gently.
"I... I like you. Like actually like you. You don't need to say anything! I just... I had to say it before I lost the courage." he says and I just stare at him, unable to think, but I feel the warmth in my cheeks and cover my face in my hands.
"I- I need to go really quick! I'll be right back!" I say and I run before he can stop me.
