Edward's POV
I had just left Natalie's house after talking to her about the vampire after her. She was a lot tougher than Bella ever had been and didn't let me take charge as easily as Bella did. I went back to my house and went upstairs and started to read a book that Natalie had let me borrow. It was about some person called Pennywise or something. I soon got hungry so I decided to go hunting. I caught a few deer and froze as I smelled vampire. I ran towards Natalie's house and noticed through her window, she was on her bed writing in some book. I saw the vampire enter the room so I ran as fast as I could and slammed her door open to see the vampire dead on the ground with a snapped neck. Natalie ran over to me and hugged me tightly. "Thank god you're okay." I whispered, hugging her back. "I just saw him and took action, I think it was an adrenaline rush." She said looking down at the vampire. She helped me get him out of her house and into the woods where I set him on fire. "Can I go back to your house?" She asked. I nodded and picked her bridal style and ran to the house. I jumped onto my balcony and set her down on the futon. "I'll go get you some blankets." I walked into the hall and noticed Rosalie waiting outside the door for me. "Is Natalie alright?" She asked. I nodded and pulled out the softest blanket we had. Rosalie had taking more of a liking to Natalie than she did Bella. I walked back into the room and Natalie was already asleep. She pulled my down onto the futon and buried her face into my chest. "Guess you always did say you were a cuddler. Didn't know it was like this." I said draping the blanket over her. "Yeah, but the first time you said you were a heartless monster and that was a huge lie." She retorted sleepily cuddling closer to me. I chuckled lightly and pressed my lips to her forehead. "I love your laugh." She whispered. I cuddled her closer to me this time and bent down to her ear. "I love yours too."
