Daryl's POV
I armed myself with my crossbow and set out to find Natalie. She was Rick's sister and had gone out on her own and hasn't come back. "Daryl are you sure that you don't want anyone else going with you, Alexandria can spare a few people to go?" Rick asked me. I let out a small chuckle and looked at him. "Rick I know her better than anyone here. I know where she'll be." I told him before getting on my motorcycle and riding off. I looked at buildings and empty fields to see if I could find her or maybe the dead her. Sure Natalie could definitely take care of herself with her metal bat with spikes and sniper rifle, but a hoard of walkers is a hoard of walkers. The sun was starting to set so I stopped at a abandoned gas station and took one last look around until I noticed a small plume of smoke coming from the roof. "Natalie!" I shouted. Her head lazily poked over the edge and she gave me a small salute before disappearing again. I looked at a ladder and rolled my eyes. I climbed up to see her sitting in a lawn chair with a bag of beef jerky on her lap and at least twelve whole packs of cigarettes in a plastic bag along with some lighters. She had a lit one perched on her lips as she watched the sun set. "Want a smoke?" She asked tossing me a pack and a lighter. I took one and placed it in between my lips while I lit it. She also handed me a beer. "So what are you doing out here?" I asked blowing out a puff of smoke and taking a swig of beer. "Rick kept breathing down my neck so I came to cool down. Maybe take a day off and then I found this place. I'm surprised we didn't find it sooner. It's got loads of resources and cigs." She explained. I nodded and finished the beer quick before she threw the bag of jerky at me. "Eat something, you look like you haven't today." I put out my cigarette and looked at her. "I haven't eaten anything because I've been worried sick about your ass." I told her. She looked at me and gave me a small smile. "You know I can take care of myself." She whispered not meeting my eyes while finishing off another one of her beers. "That doesn't mean I'm not gonna worry about you. You know I care about you Nat." She looked at me with her big blue eyes before launching herself at me and pressing her lips against mine. I gladly returned the contact and could taste the beer and cigarette. I won't lie, it was a definite turn on. She tangled her hands in my hair as I pressed her back against the concrete roof. She tugged at my hair slightly and I let out a moan and she took the opportunity to slide her tongue into my mouth. We battled for dominance, but she ended up winning and we separated out of breath. I pressed my forehead against hers and she was smirking up at me. "That's something we need to do more." She whispered pecking my lips gently. I smiled and helped her up and grabbed the cigarettes and lighters before we jogged to my motorcycle at set off for Alexandria. I could feel Natalie's arms round my waist and I smiled to myself. "Home sweet apocalypse home." Natalie said getting off my bike and banging on the gates with her bat. "Open up losers." She said before they started sliding the doors open and Rick engulfed her in a tight hug. "What happened? Why did it take so long?" He asked her while I leaned against the gate. She looked back at me and winked cheekily. "Let's just say that Daryl was being a worried boyfriend." I froze and Rick gave me look. "Daryl walk with me." He said. I started to walk after him, but jumped as Natalie slapped my ass. "See ya later Dixon."
