Natalie's POV
I was fighting to keep my eyes opened. Tonight was the night that Steve finally got back from a long mission and it was already one in the morning. "C'mon Natalie your true love is gonna walk in that door any minute stay awake." I muttered to myself in attempt to keep myself awake. "Okay I'll only rest my eyes for a couple minutes." I surrendered closing my tired eyes.
Steve's POV
I opened and closed the door and smiled as I saw Natalie passed out of the couch. "I tell you time after time that you can't stay up." I whispered picking her up bridal style and getting ready to walk up the stairs. "Steve." She mumbled opening her eyes slightly. "Yeah doll it's me." I whispered.
Natalie's POV
I couldn't quite see him clearly so I placed my hands on his face. I felt his soft skin, strong cheek bones and jaw, chiseled nose, and thick eyebrows and then my hands roamed to his soft yet messy hair. "Yes it's really me doll." He chuckled. I could feel him place me on the bed and I finally felt his side of the bed dip and I turned to face him. I opened my eyes all the way and took in his strikingly charming features and smiled warmly. I snuggled closer to him and cupped his face with my hands and felt a tear slip out of my eye. "Hey now don't cry my beautiful girl." he told me wiping away the tear with his larger, gentle, and slightly calloused hand. "I'm just so happy that you're finally home." He pressed his lips against mine and my hands found their way into his slightly tousled blonde locks. He smiled at one point in the kiss, but that didn't stop me from putting all of my passion in the kiss. When we separated I felt his arms wrap around my waist and pull me in close to him. "I'm glad I'm home too."
