Levi's POV
I walked through the forest and my face fell as I saw all the dead bodies around me. Petra, Oulo, Eld, Gunther, everyone in my squad was dead. Eren and I were the only survivors that were found from my squad. "LEVI!" I heard someone scream. I didn't notice the female titan sneaking up on my so the titan grabbed me. I was about to cut myself free, but a flash of brown flew by my eyes and I started to fall to the ground. Natalie caught me in her arms and placed me down on a tree. "Are you okay?" She asked looking at me. Her eyes were full of hatred and sadness. "I'm fine, but Eld-" She cut me of by screaming at the top of her lungs in anger. "I know that bitch killed my brother, now I'll kill her." She said. Natalie was slightly shorter than me and was almost as skilled as me. "Natalie I..." I trailed off putting my hand on her shoulder. She turned around and faced the female titan. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" She screamed. She launched herself at the female titan and started to cut away. She never once cut the nape of its neck, but she had so many opportunities to do so. "She's making her suffer." I whispered. I watched in amazement, but Natalie got tired and fell to the ground. I launched down to her and picked her up and used my 3-D maneuver gear to get us out of the forest. "Let's go!" I shouted getting on my horse and Natalie leaned against me her face against my back and her arms around my waist. I looked back at her from the corner of my eye and noticed she was crying. I felt a pang hit my heart and looked away as we raced back to the fortress. Me, Natalie, Hanji, Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Historia, Sasha and Connie all entered and they quietly talked while Natalie walked up the steps and into her room. "You should go check on her Heichou." Eren said to me. I nodded and followed her up the steps, but saw her leaned against a wall crying into her hands. "Natalie." She looked up at me and hen to her hands immediately afterwards. "He didn't deserve to die, none of them did." She sobbed. I sat down next to her and brought her into a hug. She buried her face in my chest and I looked down at her. "Heichou I don't know what to do." She said wiping away tears. I stopped her and wiped them away myself. "Levi." She looked at me and blushed. "What?" She asked in a quiet voice. "Call me Levi." She nodded and I helped her to her feet. "No one should have to go through what Eren or you or anyone has in this war, but just know that there are things that make it better. Eren Is finally finding himself and you have me just like I have you." I said feeling my own cheeks heat up. "You like me." She said looking up at me. "No...I love you." I said. She grabbed my shirt collar and yanked me down to her level and kissed my lips gently. I cupped her face and kissed back. "Well that escalated." She muttered as we broke apart. "Yeah, now let's go get some rest brat." I said playfully. "Okay Levi." She said walking away and into her room.
