I toss and turn ten minutes before my alarm is set to go off. I didn't sleep well at all last night. I kept thinking about the previous female lead and her connection to Tobias. Jealously tumbles through me and it surprises me just as much as my protectiveness over Tobias and the band. A couple days ago, I didn't even want to be in the band. Now I'm striving to be all I can be and trying my hardest not to let them down. I snort at the irony and can't shake the feeling that there's so much pressure on my shoulders. A lot is riding on me.

I know that if I mess up, it won't hurt them as bad as my imagination makes it out. Tobias will cover any and all of my mistakes. He's already informed me he would. "Cocky jerk," I mutter. But I think it's my pride in being the best that I can be. I won't let them down, I tell my reflection in the mirror. I won't.

It doesn't help that the school festival is also approaching. I would have to spend after school helping out the classes and clubs set up their displays for the next couple days.

I stand up and complete my morning routine then head out the door. I'm not surprised when I see a familiar limo pulling up just as I got the door shut. This time, though, I trot towards it and the door opens for me.

"Hello pretty lady, need a lift?" Tobias winks at me. He looks a bit tired this morning. He's really starting to open up to me. Sadly, that just makes him more irresistible but I guard my heart knowing that it won't end well if I fall in love with him. Seems like my heart likes to resist my brain, though.

I feel myself blush and slide on in. "Thanks, beats walking."

Tobias stretches out his legs a bit and yawns. "So you will never guess what."

I pause, looking at him completely puzzled. "What?"

Tobias continues, "I know you have just started out with the band but we have a gig on Saturday." Timony adds spirit fingers for effect.

I digest this for a moment. When what he says finally sinks in, I protest. "What?! I'm not ready!" I hear the disbelief color my voice.

"Now hold on before you freak out.," Tobias reaches out to stroking my hand in a calming gesture. "You are ready. I wouldn't suggest you come with us unless I was for certain about this. After all, we do have a reputation to uphold." He tosses me a wink and I narrow my eyes. "I think it would be very good practice for you. Especially to understand what it's like to sing in front of people versus to sing in a secluded area."

Reluctantly, I have to agree with him. However..."I do not want people to know it's me. How are you going to prevent that?" I cross my arms. Last thing I need is the rumor mill spreading rumors and it making it back to mommy dearest. I shudder.

Tobias smiles widely, knowing he's got me roped in. "Jerome's sister is a makeup artist. She's constantly having to disguise actors and actresses to hide their substance abuse. We figure if she can do that, she can easily disguise you from looking like yourself."

Jerome speaks up. "And she knows she's doing this?"

"Well," Tobias rubs his neck, a faint blush touches his cheeks. "She will?" He shrugs like it's a minor detail.

"That's very reassuring." I cringe at the sarcasm my voice holds and blow hair out of my face.

"Speaking of different looks, have you ever tried leaving your hair down? It'll make you look less uptight," Timony decides to mention. He must be talking to must to Maydean again. I stifle the urge to growl. Instead, I settle for narrowing my gaze at him.

He continues on. "Maydean says you used to be so care-free and fun-loving. And that you used to wear your hair down all the time. Or at least in a ponytail."

I stare at him a moment and decide to call him on it. "You're spending an awful lot of time with Maydean lately." I say, slyly. "Does somebody have a crush, perhaps?" I raise my eyebrows to add effect.

Timony's face flushes red. "It's not what you think! We're just friends. Besides, you're just trying to dodge my question." He crosses his arms and proceeds to pout.

Before anymore questions arise, we get to school and I hop out. "I will be staying after school to help with the displays so don't wait up for me!" I wave and dash off before they try to change my mind. I see Maydean and trot over to her. She waves at boys and begins to updates me on my schedule.

Later after school, I am in the mist of directing, getting updates, and organizing each class when the guys file in.

I furrow my brow. "Didn't I tell you I wouldn't be available after school?"

Tobias flashes me a smile that makes those irritating butterflies kick up again. "That you did but that's not what we're here for."

"Oh, is that so?" Maydean asks looking over her clipboard.

"Yep," Timony turns to her. "We're here to help!"

I don't miss Tobias and Jerome rolling their eyes and I giggle.

"Well, if you insist," I couldn't resist the malicious smile that touches my face and I laugh when I see a mirroring one in Maydean's.

"I'm exhausted!" Timony complains. He hops up on a table to lay down. The boys are strewn out about the classroom, sweaty and tired because of all the lifting we had them do. Well, they said they'd help.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't even a little proud of them. They have official become apart of me and my life. "I just want to know," Tobias says, "How do you do it? Like all the time?"

"Do what?" I try to understand what he's getting at.

"You know," he explains. "Organize things, direct things, always know what you're doing and such. In a phrase, be Student Council President! Seems like a job for an army, not a solo person."

I smirk. "Don't'cha know? I'm a girl of many talents." I throw a wink in there for extra measure. Tobias rolls his eyes and gets up. He stretches out his sore muscles making them ripple a bit. I advert my eyes and keep a blush from rising to my cheeks.

"Well, it's getting late. We better get you home." He gestures to me with his hand and the boys get up with groans. We head to the parking lot where the limo is waiting.

They are growing closer! I'm excited to see how their story keeps developing. They finally at least recognize they have a crush on each other. But it's at the budding stage so it's pretty fragile. Hopefully neither of them screws it up! As for Cassidy good luck for her first gig! You'll definitely find out some more quirks and cracks in her "perfect" image so keep on reading!!
