Her face! I can't keep myself from laughing. Again. Timony bumps me and shakes his head. We're in class right now. I've interrupted at least a minimum of ten times with fits of chortles, chuckles, and snorts.
"Is there a problem Mr. Lincoln?" The teacher glares daggers at me.
I lower my head in a remorseful move and the teacher continues with the lesson. Timony texts me as soon as the teacher faces the board again.
TG: What's up? 10:32am
I think about how to phrase it and just end up writing it bluntly.
TL: Cassidy's face. I can't get over her expression. 10:33am
TG: Well, she is a pretty girl.... 10:34am
TL: That wasn't exactly what I meant.... 10:34am
TG: Sure, sure. So...you don't mind if I swoop in? 10:37am
I feel anger bubble up in me but tamp it down really quick. He's just trying to get a rise out of you, I tell myself.
TL: She's not into you. By the way, your theory might be right. 10:38am
TG: What theory? You mean the fact she might have the hots for you? 10:39am
I raise my eyebrows in a questioning fashion.
TL: Do what?? And I meant the theory you told me in the limo last night... 10:41am
TG: Oh, that one. My mistake. Smirky Face. What about it? 10:42am
TL: You'll never guess who texted me last night. 10:42am
Timony took a minute before replying.
TG: If I was a betting man, I'd say your ex. 10:44am
I raise my eyebrows at him again and start to wonder if I've underestimated him all of my life.
TL: Spot on. 10:45am
TG: What's she have to say? 10:46am
TL: Her usual bull along with a lot of cryptic crap. 10:46am
TG: Forward texts? 10:47am
TL: Give me a minute. 10:47am
I click on my ex's messages and forward the lot all in one go. I see Timony reading them and when he's done he texts back.
TG: That's unexpected. 10:55am
TL: What? That you're right? 10:55am
TG: No. That she's involved. I have a bad feeling about all of this. 10:56am
TL: Me too, bro. Me too. 10:57am
Timony seems surprised Tobias's ex is involved. If she's involved, does that mean the band Crushed is involved, too? But why would they help out their competition? So many questions and so little answers. But one thing is for certain. Tobias keeps growing fonder of Cassidy! Will he have the courage to confess?! It may be too early for that though so let's see how things play out!
