She said yes, she said YES! I replay the events over and over in my head and each time, it gets better and better. Cassidy, who is currently sitting next to me in the limo gives me a strange look. My face is non-stop smile and I can tell she thinks it's freaky considering that I rarely smile. More like smirk.
Her own shy smile spreads across her face. Timony and Jerome had just been dropped off after celebrating the night away. We didn't even wait to here the results of the competition. We competed in it and that's all that mattered. At least, to them. I got what mattered to me. I hug her closer to me.
I had called in the favors Timony and Jerome owed me. I thought it would be a lot harder to get them to work with me considering how much of a jerk I have been lately but, surprisingly, it was pretty simple. They seem to honestly want to help me out. I've begun to rethink my definition of friendship.
"You have to make the lyrics though," Timony stated.
Jerome agreed. "And if they stink, I'm not playing them!"
Luckily, since I've been writing most of the songs for the band, I've had great practice. It turned out amazing, though the guys were a little sketchy at first about the mood and tone. It's not usually a song that we'd even consider. But when I made my case about how I wanted to make it heartfelt and personal, they gave in. It didn't take us long to get it down but even the guys could feel my passion in it. They gave it the green light in the end.
Then her face, ah, her face! It was the most wonderful thing I had ever seen! The joy in it. The love! I have never been so much in love with a person-other than myself-in my whole life. She has literally changed me for the better. And I would never change a single thing because she fell in love with me. Attitude and all.
