Our class is really excited about the annual fete. Each class had to select a theme and the classroom would be transformed accordingly and the campus ground will be set with stalls selling stuff like books, some handicrafts(by school authority for charity), food stalls and other interesting things.
Three days back when Ayane and Nana told us about it; the air in the room had changed. Every face was full of enthusiasm and anticipation and different ideas were churning inside brains. It was a really tough job to decide on what our class was to do. Ideas came from every student but they were far from satisfactory; some being totally out of bounds.
Finally Ryo had suggested that we turn our class into a haunted café. Everyone bought on this and I must say his idea was actually pretty cool but damn! why did HE had to say that. God! I lost another chance to impress Ayane. But no worries one day I will surely do. One day she will see just how great I am. Hahahah 😂😂😂😂😂. ...no just kidding...I ain't great!!
Today is Friday and since the day Ryo has given the idea; we all are putting our everything into designing the banners, the lamps and other scary decor. The best thing about all this is that I came to know that Ayane trusts me! Like she really believes I'm a responsible person. DAB!!!
It happened just yesterday; she was making some banner reading 'W3LcoM3 to the DARK CAFè'. The banner was big and she was having problem folding it with her small hands. I wanted to help her but I don't know what kept me glued to my place. Just then Ibuki punched me in the shoulder and said,
'Go help her dude. I know you want to and you have a perfect opportunity to talk.'
It's like his words worked as magic and I moved. When I held the banner; she looked at me in surprise and smiled and I felt so warm. A sunshine smile.
'Thanks Takeru.' She said.
'Oh never mind. Well this idea of a haunted café is pretty good.' I said hiding my emotions.
'Yeah it is' she admitted 'but I don't know whom all I can trust with this craft work; especially boys. But you seem really responsible. I have worked with you so it's easy for me to trust you more than others.'
Before I had a chance to respond; Nanami called her and she left. Just as she was leaving, I watched her and then a voice at the back of my head said Tell her....it's probably for the best. I wanted to tell her so bad but then there was that PROBABLY.
