I was on the terrace, just passing time as I studied the whole day completing my language project and worksheets and stuff. I didn't like summers. I was more of a winter person. I was getting seriously bored so I just put my headphones on tapped my play list. Pop music. The summer air was making me dizzy. I sat against the wall and closed my eyes.
Then suddenly something hit me hard on the face.
'Owww' I cried. 'What's wrong with you!!'
'Oh sorry I didn't see you there.' said my brother Taichi, grinning. He hit me with his football.
'Yeah you should improve your eyesight then.' I said annoyed.
Taichi was in third year, in the same school as me and he was also the football captain. He was my best friend in this whole world. We were really close to each other and he was just awesome. He had red hair which he sometimes wore in a small pony.
'Sorry buddy.' He said sitting next to me.
'It's fine.' I said.
'So what's her name?' He asked.
I was completely taken aback on hearing this. What happened to him suddenly. I mean....What! How!
'I don't know what you are talking about.' I said trying to sound serious.
'Okay now, Takeru don't hide it from me. I know it's a girl....or is it a booooyyyyy' He made me laugh really hard.
'Yeah it's a "girl " ' I said air quoting.
'What's her name?'
'Ayane Yamashita' I answered.
'Do you really like her?'
'I don't know. I seriously don't know. I mean, I never felt this strongly for someone but I really don't know what it is. Maybe it's just attraction.'
'So you are not sure...hmmm' He said.
'Nope. I think I am actually getting better at not thinking about her everytime. I am coming back to my senses I guess.' I grinned.
'Or maybe it's not.' He said while getting up.
'What do you mean?' I asked bewildered.
He smiled and said 'you will know when it's time. Okay let's go. Mom was calling you.'

I couldn't let Taichi's words out of my mind. Was I into her or was I not. I seriously didn't know. I will just go with the flow. But one thing is for sure, I will never play with someone's heart.
