It's been a month since Ayane told us about her sister. This was what she had been holding in for way too long. I...feel so broken, I couldn't do anything to comfort her, to build her up. And above all, our ideologies are totally different when it comes to something as pure as love. She doesn't believe in it and I can't not believe in it after having experienced it for the first time.
When she told us about her void, it really built our friendship. But I want her to be strong, to let go, to smile again and I will do it and for that I will have to be resolute.
Yes. Tomorrow is the day. I am gonna tell her everything, my feelings for her.
We are having a trip tomorrow to an amusement park. Yeah it's out of the blue. Tomorrow is the last day of school before summer break so we apparently had a one day trip and the whole of year 2 is going. Yeah tomorrow it is then.
THE NEXT DAY
I am just so excited....so excited but I am also a little nervous. What if she said no; what if she didn't consider it at all. Okay I am gonna be positive. No worrying now.
We reached the amusement park around 10 in the morning. It looked fun as I have never been to this one before. We were let in after the security checkings and were asked to stand in queue.
'Oh cmon let us in already' groaned Nana. Yeah she was right. Cmonnnn.
After 15 more minutes of lecturing we were finally let in and the students went crazy. Me, Ayane, Ibuki, Nana, Yuuto and some other classmates decided to go for ' the drop'. Luckily I got to sit next to her. The ride was going up slowly and my heart was pounding bad.
'Oh God! Oh God! Oh God!' She was chanting this sitting next to me and I bet she would scream at the top of her lungs when we will go down.
'Ayane..'
'Yeah' her eyes were shut tight.
'Will you go out with me? I really like you'
'Huh' her face went completely red and now we were falling. She didn't scream at all but was staring at me with eyes wide open.
We got off after 5 minutes and judging by her expressions she didn't believe a word I said.
'You okay?' I asked and she nodded. 'So?' I asked.
'I...I don't know what to say. I respect your feelings but I. .I don't know if this will work. I hope this will not affect our friendship. I really like you as a friend....'
'Don't say more' I heaved a sigh 'I know you don't have faith in all this but what if it actually worked.' My heart was beating faster.
'I...'
'Shhhh.....' I held her palms in mine and she went redder. Oh gosh so cute and her palms are so small and soft...'..hey....not every guy is the same. I am just asking for a chance. I won't let you regret it.'
'But....'
I pulled her a little close gently and brushed my lips on hers. It was barely a kiss but my heart was banging against my chest. Heat travelled to my cheeks and it was only for a couple of seconds but it felt as if it had been a lifetime. I let go of her hands and stood there a little embarrassed at this sudden gesture of love and her eyes were open so wide that I got worried.
'Hey you two. Here you are. We were looking for you.' Yuuto said . 'Now cmon there are many rides to hop onto.'
She looked at me and cleared her throat. 'Let's. ..umm.....let's go.'
I nodded. My heart was still acting crazy and I was feeling out of this world. 😀😀
