'What! You crazy! Why...why would someone tell you about their crush?' I was very surprised when Ibuki and Nana asked Takeru this. I wonder what Yuuto would have said. Never mind.
'So cmon Takeru our ears are dying to hear that lovely name.' Ibuki said in a melodramatic way.
'Hey now what do u think that I will tell u so easily. Naah....ain't gonna happen. Why don't you guess it.' Takeru winked resting both his hands at the back of his head in a casual sort of way.
I nodded in agreement. I like guess work.
'Yeah ok...give us some hint then' Nana pushed. 'Okay leave; tell us if she is in this school.' She asked half mindedly.
'Yep' he answered smiling a bit and in that moment they happened to share something just with their eyes.
'So that means she must be in our class...either this one or the previous one. Right?' I asked now taking a little interest.
'Umm....yeah you could say.' He frowned, pretending as if I was wrong but I was sure his answer was yes.
'Tell us something more. Like what's her hair colour, habits....sorta thing.' Ibuki started pestering him.
'Well let's see....' Takeru was sure taking his time and I must admit I was actually keen to listen who it was. '...hair color....dark brown and skin tone is umm fair...and...'
'Takeru' Nana gave a sarcastically annoyed smile 'more than half of the girls in our class are fair and have dark brown hair for Godsake. Tell us something more solid.'
'Well....I just..' at this moment a genuine smile took over his lips and his eyes became lovingly intense. A look, when we think about someone we actually care about, came in his eyes. I knew this look.....I always saw it in Izumi's eyes, my sister's eyes.
'I just ' he continued ' I know that she may not feel what I. ...feel towards her or that she may not even accept them but....I just couldn't stop falling for her. The way she stares into space, the way she talks to me, the things that I have come to know about her, the things I would like to know....it really gets to me.'
We all were listening so hard and my heart felt like it stopped. He really created that aura around him....the way poets romanticise in ballads.
' I really like her.' He finished with a light laughter and he is just so gullible.
'Woah man you really got me there.' Ibuki bumped his fist on Takeru's shoulder.
'But' began Nana cupping her face '...who is she? Tell us Takeru.'
'I will. Just wait a little.' They both exchanged that secret understanding again. And at that moment, the bell went and students filed in. ' Oh yeah by the way....she has coffee brown eyes.' and he winked.
'So Ayane' I looked up at Nana 'tomorrow we would like to know what you have got to share....a secret. Something which you haven't told anyone.' My eyes could have popped out and oh now my heart was really racing. I..will have to....tell them.
But how...will I face myself after that?
