I don't feel like going to school at all today. Yeah I seriously don't. I don't know what has gotten into Ayane but yesterday she had avoided me, completely avoided me. I don't know what's wrong. Did I do something wrong that I wasn't aware of. When I had greeted her yesterday, she responded with an uneasy, uncomfortable smile. A smile that said 'okay I shouldn't be the one bothering u'. I don't know what's going on but I would seriously like to know it.
After getting dressed I went down the hall for breakfast. There was a note for me beside the plate from mom. Reading it I felt that my life may bring distress, but one thing will never change; I loved my mom the most. I felt really great, it was as if something heavy was lifted up from my shoulders.
Just when I had put the dishes in the sink I felt a tap on my shoulder.
'Hey mum, thanks for the greeting.' I hugged her.
'Happy birthday Takeru. Wish you all the great health and future.' She said smiling.
'Thanks mom. Love ya. Bye.'
Yeah guys today was my birthday. 18 September.
I flung my bag over my shoulder. I turned the doorknob and I felt a hard slap on my back. I stumbled forward.
'Can't you be good atleast today?' I asked Taichi trying to rub the place he had hit.
'Awwww. Sorry little brother. Happy birthday.' He pulled me in a brotherly embrace.
'Yeah yeah, now leave me or else I will be late.' I steeped out.

Before entering the class, the feeling of warmth left me. I felt like going back home. Which obviously I couldn't. Why I feel like this is because when you know you are gonna get hurt, you take precautions. And going inside the class, was far from doing that. Yet anyhow I opened the door. I kept my bag beside Ibuki's. Where was he? Maybe he hadn't come from the basketball practice yet.
Just as I turned after placing my bag, I saw Ayane. We were face to face and it was at that moment that I realised she had a small build, yeah she was short; not very. Her head reached my chin and when I looked at her I saw how nervous she was. What was wrong.
'Hey Takeru kun' she said extending her hand 'Happy birthday. '
I was taken aback. I didn't see this coming.
