Months passed and nothing much happened except for the fact that Ibuki broke up with Mariko san. It still isn't clear who called it off but Ibuki isn't much affected by it. He says the decision was mutual. This means that it wasn't as serious as everyone thought it was.
My feelings for Ayane haven't faltered but yes I have somewhat accepted that she doesn't feel anything towards me. It hurts, it's disappointing, I know but we can't force someone into a relationship; afterall it's a matter of hearts. I won't give up nevertheless.
When I told Taichi about how I felt it possibly couldn't work, he asked me not to give up; yeah like I could😒. I have never felt anything like this for anyone and it would be so stupid to give it all up just like that.

Me and Ayane talk a bit in class as classmates; not friends, pass a smile or two while walking past each other sometimes and that's it. Over these months (Sept...Oct...Nov ) I have fallen more in love with her habits like when she is stressed she would put the back of a pencil on her temple and concentrate hard; when sitting idly she would flip the pages of a text and then failing to find anything interesting to read; would snap it shut. I am not a stalker, I have just fallen in love with her.
Yeah love, I am sure of it now because it aches everytime I see her; everytime I see her pass that hollow smile to me; to everyone else.
I forgot to mention the fete guys.
So, the stalls that day in the ground looked so colourful and so vibrant that they pulled people towards them helping to raise charity and our class, giving a spooky, creepy vibe attracted a lot more people than we expected. The girls were dressed up as maids with a gothic make up on and the guys in a butler attire (except for the ones busy with the stalls down).
Even though she had a dark makeup on, eyes black and red and very gothic with a tattered costume; she looked beautiful. She looked heartwarming; as beautiful as she looked that night at the inn and I just couldn't keep my eyes off her.
But it was that day that I realised she can't be mine; atleast not anytime soon. It felt devastating but maybe there's a small corner in my heart that still has some hope and a lot more will.
