Demi's POV

Jasmine's birthday was different than we're used to, but still amazing. I could tell that having Wilmer there made her feel special. They get along so well for just meeting; it's truly amazing.

Wilmer walks into the living room where I'm sitting, waiting for Jasmine to come back from school. With spring break over, and the break for her recovery from the kidnapping, she's now back and finishing off grade 6.

"Hey, how're you?" Wilmer asks, sitting on the couch beside me.

"I'm alright," I reply, "But, Wil, why did you want to come back with me after all that happened? I mean, we broke up 11 and a half years ago."

"Because," he responds, "I never stopped loving you. I always wanted to call and say that I forgave you, I just didn't have the guts."

"Oh, Wilmer," I say, reaching over and giving him a hug, "Thank you so much for all this."

He just smiles. We lean back on the couch and decide to watch some TV. Wilmer just wanted to watch videos of Jasmine growing up, and I couldn't agree more, she has grown up so fast, time to stop and rewind a bit.

Jasmine's POV

My first day back since leaving with Mom over spring break. Can you say nerve-wracking? I don't have many friends to begin with. Most of the people at school either want to be my friend because my mom's famous, or make fun of me, also because my mom's famous. I wish I could've stayed home with Mom and Wilmer; they make every bad thing feel like nothing and every good thing just that much better. I get along with adults way better than kids; it's just how I am.

I step into the school, a rush of cold, air-conditioned air sucking me in. After a few moments to look around, I see that Sam, Xavier, and Lola are standing right there. The rest of there clique isn't with them, but they always mean trouble.

"Hey Jasmine... Where were you? Off with your loser mom again?" Lola taunts.

I put my head up and keep walking to my classroom. I should've known they wouldn't let it be...
