Chapter 8: Lionheart

Jasmine's POV

We walk out of the bathroom I see James sit down in the chair that was beside mine, so when we arrive at the table, I take my chair and move it in between Mom and Wilmer. They both put their arms around me protectively. 

When we are done eating, Wilmer and Mom take my hands and we walk out of the diner; sadly James is following us. We go to the park and he is still following us. When we came to the water fountain at the park Wilmer takes Mom's hand in his own and says, "Demi, I know we just recently got back together, and not at the best time, but I would really like it if you would be my girlfriend again."

"Of course Wilmer, I would love to be your girlfriend!" exclaims Mom.

James stomps over and slaps my mom hard on the face. I watch her fall to the ground unconscious. The next thing I know, Wilmer is dragging me away from James so that I would not do any more damage.

"Call 911," orders Wilmer, as he drags James away.  "I will see if she is still breathing."

"Okay," I say. I get out my phone and type in 911.

"Hello, this is 911, how may I help you?"

"My mom is unconscious, she got slapped really hard by this guy," I reply. 

"All right, we will send an ambulance right away, do you still feel a pulse?"

I walk over to mom and check, "Barely there."

"Okay, so we will send over an ambulance as soon as possible and we will need info on the man that did this to her. Say what you know please."

"He is my dad, but they are not together, they used to date, but he slapped her when she decided to become Wilmer's girlfriend. His name is James, and he has kidnapped me before. He has been in jail a few times as well."

"Thanks we will be sure to find him." She says and hangs up.
