"Now," the nurse says, "I know that we discussed letting you go home today, but, with some of your violent behaviors in mind we may have to keep you a little longer, in psych."
"What?! No?! I've been to psych before and I'm sorry but-" I start.
"I'll handle this," Wilmer says, smiling at me. "Demi is bipolar, if you didn't know, now, she didn't have her medication here in the hospital because she didn't have it with her. She's harmless and it will all be just fine."
"Well, actually..." Demi says. "Something else happened too...
...I had just received my memory back and couldn't get over my hysteria. I started screaming again only this time I hit someone, pretty hard. I hit a doctor in the face and broke his nose. Then I used my nails and started clawing at my skin until the nurses put an end to it by sedating me for an hour or so...
"Again," Wilmer says, "You weren't on your medication."
The nurse nods, "I'll go and talk this over with the doctor," she says, leaving the room.
I notice that Jasmine is silently sitting in the corner of the room. I've probably scared her now, but not having my medications are throwing me way out of whack. Sometimes, I just can't help myself.
Jasmine's POV
How can this happen? I was looking forward to today since Mom would have been coming home, but now she might not even be able to.
I sit down on the floor in the corner of the room, waiting for the nurse to come back and tell us what she's decided. The nurse comes back into the room a few minutes later.
"We've decided what's going to happen to you, Miss. Lovato," the nurse says. "You will be..."
