Chapter 10 My New Co-Workers

"AAAAAHHHHHH!" I struck his neck and blood splattered everywhere.

"Lord Orochimaru! Calm down!"

"HOW CAN I BE CALM! MY ARMS! MY ARMS!!!" My nerves are overloading! The pain!

Getting more research done and being with a beautiful young lady to get that research is even better! I bought her food, won her prizes, and made her laugh the whole time.

"I had so much fun with you, Master Jiraiya~." she purred

"Oh, no. The pleasure was all mine." I grabbed her by her waist.

"Oh! Master Jiraiya~!" she giggled,"I really should get going. I had a great time. Bye-bye~" she waved and sashayed away.

I happily skipped into the inn and up the stairs to the room. I turned the corner and saw keys on the floor. I walked to them and saw the door to our room was cracked open. I picked up the keys and opened the door all the way,"Naruto?" I didn't see him,"Naruto!" I don't sense his chakra! No he can't be gone! I searched the whole town and the forest surrounding it. I punched a near by tree,"Dammit!" My eyes were burning with tears and I could care less about my bloody fist. I'm a failure as a godfather....No wait. I could try that. I bit my thumb, made the hand signs and summoned Gamabunta.

"Jiraiya, what is it?"

"Summon Naruto." I commanded while whipping my face.

"Shouldn't you kno-...Don't tell me." I lowered my head,"...You lost him. You let him get taken by the enemy didn't you. Didn't you!" I nodded,"You let them take your students son, the jinchuriki of the nine tails...Your own godchild!" I felt myself getting smaller and smaller with each thing he yelled at me,"...I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing this for Naruto's sake." I waited.

10 minutes later,"...I couldn't. Jiraiya...He's gone." I screamed...I screamed even after my throat was raw. I screamed loud so that everyone could hear. I screamed because that was the only way for me to express the pain I was feeling. I unleashed countless jutsus on the forest around me. Once I was tired and couldn't move anymore I sobbed and drank till I fell asleep against a tree.

I felt someones chakra trying to pull Naruto. I sent the chakra back to the person. I didn't tell Naruto.

I woke up with a pounding head and a heavy heart. I got up and staggered to the inn. Once I got there I droped onto the bed and just laid there for who knows long. Tsunade...Even if I'm emotionally unstable I still have to look for her. I left my room and started searching for her.

I didn't really feel like eating but a starving ninja is no good so I stopped at a tavern. Might as well drink agai-  I saw a head of blond hair and a purple diamond. Tsunade.

"Jiraiya, what the- Why are you here?" I sat with her and just ordered sake and a little food to snack on. 

"Tsunade, in its wisdom, the village has come to the decision to name you as the fifth hokage. You heard about the third hokage." I stated in a dry voice.

"...No, I didn't."

"He was killed by Orochimaru...Not only have we lost our Hokage, we have lost another valuable asset."

"...The jin-" she whispered.

"Yes." I cut her off,"So what is your answer? Do you accept. I must remind you that Konoha is in a vulnerable state. She needs a leader to guide her people."
