Chapter 26 An apple a day makes a Shinigami jealous

I opened my eyes and felt the rays of the sun flood through my window and onto my face. I tired to get up but realized Shounou was still asleep on my chest. He snuggled closer to me before relaxing again. I carefully removed his arms from around my body and got out of bed. I went to my closet and picked out an outfit.

"Tight..." My clothes don't fit anymore. I may have been malnourished the whole entire time I was away but I still grew quite a bit.

"You can ha-"

"Woah!" I turned around and Shounou was right behind me.

"Sorry." he blushed,"I always scare people for some reason."

"Oh really?" I sweat dropped. Probably because you always sneak up on people. 

"Anyways, you can have a pair of my clothes."he pulled up his sleeve and touched the skin on his shoulder, a seal appeared for a second before disappearing. In his hand he held a light blue shirt and tan shorts.

"Thanks." So he has more seals other than the ones on his thighs.

"No problem. I didn't seal much clothing though so we'll have to go shopping."

"Right." he took out another pair of clothes, a black t-shirt and black pants. We both changed and went to the bathroom to brush our teeth.

Wait...I don't even have a toothbrush. Shounou quickly brushed his teeth and rinsed his mouth,"Here. Use mine." he held it out to me and I took it.

"Do you seal all your belongings on your body?"

"Yep. Makes it more convenient not having to carry a bag." I brushed my teeth and we took care of other things before walking to the kitchen.

 "Ohayou, boys."

"Ohayou gozaimasu." Shounou

"Ohayou." I said yawning but quickly muffling it.

Okasan smirked and put her hands on her hips,"Oh so you're still 'tired'?"

"Y-yeah. Ahaha!" I stuttered and forced a laugh. The guards would beat us if we yawned... 

"Well, come on and sit. If you eat you'll be wide awake!" we both sat down.

"Itadakimasu."

"Itadakimasu." and started to eat. I looked at the empty chairs around us and noticed that we were the only ones eating,"Where is everyone else?"

"Your father had to go settle some business and your brothers promised to babysit Mrs. Sasaki's little boy and girl..." she tilted her head,"That shirt looks a bit baggy on you."

"It's Shounou's shirt..."

"Ah! That's right! You've grow so you need new clothes. After the doctor appointment we can go shopping." she smiled,"And yes you still have to go to the doctor. Shounou-kun I don't know if Katsuo has told you..."

"I have to go to the doctor too..." he said dejectedly.

"That's right!"

 We finished eating and washed the dishes. Kasan took off her apron and put on her shoes,"Let's go~!"

"Hai..."

"Hai..."

Shounou walked quietly behind us while I trudged along as Kasan pulled me along by my arm,"Stop dragging you feet, Katsuo."

I grumbled and dragged my feet harder. Kasan rolled her eyes.

We walked up to the doctors house and mom opened the door,"Fukuda-san."
