Chapter 17 I fell asleep and ended up...

I opened my eyes and saw...well I couldn't really see sense it was dark. I felt around and landed my hand in a pile of mush. Ah hell no. I lifted my hand and shook it off. Then I sniffed it. Food mush... I looked around and saw a small ray of light. I crawled towards it and stuck a finger in the opening. I pushed it to the left and it slid open. More light filled the room. I could now see that I was in a room with brick walls that had chains attached to them...I also saw splatters of blood in various places.

Konan's POV

I froze in place. Something doesn't feel right. I put the scroll down in front of him and leaned on the edge of his desk,"What's the matter, Konan." There's an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. "I don't know. I just have a really bad feeling..."

"A gut feeling."

"Yeah. And I don't like it."

"...Don't worry, Konan. Everything is fine. Naruto will come home safe and he'll tell you all about what he did in the snow."

"I hope he does." he took hold of my hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I looked at the matching ribbons we had tied to our ring fingers and then raised my head, my gaze connecting with his Rinnegan eyes.

"Everything is fine and will be fine."

Naruto's POV

I'm screwed... I leaned on the door and covered my face with my hands. No you're not, kit. Try and find a way out of here. But what am I going to do when I get out? What if they have strong men and a large quantity of them? Why aren't I chained to the wall and bleeding? Are they waiting until I'm awake so they can hear me scream?...If I waved my hand outside will anyone notice? I turned around and looked out the small opening in the wall.

You don't want people noticing that you're awake, kit. I'll just wait. It seems like the best course of action. I crawled back to my cot and eyed the food mush. I don't want to eat that baby food crap. So I pushed it away. You need all the strength you can get. I don't need to ea- my stomach roared. I pointed at it. I can't eat that. Yes you can. You have the necessary body parts and organs. The consistency...is gross. I'll end up throwing it back up if I eat it. Suit yourself. I moved my cot 90° and lied down on it. I pulled my legs close and closed my eyes.

I listened to my blood flowing in my veins, I let my mind go blank.

I heard foot steps echo through the hall outside. A cell door was opened,"Out!" was barked and chains jingled. This is it, kit. If you don't think of anything now... Got it.

The jailers continued. Going by the cells and forcing everyone out...They stood in front of my cell. I heard the jingle of the keys and the click of the lock.

I opened the last cell. Light flooded the room, illuminating a head of orange hair,"Up and out." he moved his head away from his chest and towards me. He slowly opened his eyes and squinted through the sudden flow of light,"We don't have all day. You either get up and out right now, or my buddies drag you out."

He rolled onto his back and sat up, getting up from that position. He walked in front of us,"Arms up." I ordered as one of the guys got the cuffs out,"Arms up!"

"...I can't." I grabbed his hair and pulled it.

"When I tell you to do something you do it."

"B-but I can't." he whimpered.
