Chapter 9

I feel a tap on my shoulder after the class is over and I am about to leave with Tiffany. I grit my teeth and turn around. No one touches me!

"What the hell do you want?" I stare down at the person who dared to tap my shoulder.

Tiffany folds her arms and glares too. I can feel the tension forming like a storm around us.

She smiles proudly and says, "I would like to speak to you alone, if you don't mind."

I fold my arms across my chest, "excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are to order me around and tell me friends to leave?" I shouted at her.

She smiles even more. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, I know your secret," she said in a hushed tone.

My face almost goes pale. So the eavesdropper did hear everything. This is impossible! She will ruin me! My reputation would be over in a split second, and not even!

I quickly turn to Tiff.

"Fine," she grumbles, "I'm going to go fix my lipstick in the washroom."

I turn back to the girl. "What do you want from me?"

"An apology," she says confidently.

I snort. "Is that all?"

She shook her head and a sly smile crept up on her face. Goodness, did she ever hear of moisturizer or foundation? Ew. And her lips...too chapped.

"Of course that's not all I want. Poor little miss, with her father almost divorcing her mother and her pulling off a big scam on his boss. You're not all what you ought to be, I see."

"How dare you? Have you ever heard of privacy?" I almost feel like bitch slapping her across the face for treating me like this. No one has ever put me in such a position. And it was all Tiffany's fault. She made me tell her the story in class where there are many eavesdroppers. I guess there is one advantage of being unpopular: no one would listen to your private conversations.

"Of course, but when it comes to the most popular girls, then there is no such thing as privacy. If they done something bad to you, you would want to take revenge. I go for revenge, simple as that."

This is not looking good. "Now spill. What else do you want from me. Say it, I'll do it and you get out my face once and for all."

She pouted, "aww, don't be so mean to me now, you wouldn't want your little secret revealed to the whole school, now, would you?"

I am getting so annoyed now. "No, go on."

"Alright," she rubs her hands together, "I want the apology, plus, I want to be guaranteed to be at least a candidate for prom queen. Maybe I can win."

My jaw almost hits the floor as she says that. "No, no, no." I shake my head.

"Well," she shrugs and starts to walk away from me, "I think I need to visit the office and make an announcement to all the students. I think they need to know something very important."
