"Terrain please stay awake!" I open my eyes to see Edmund's face full of worry and fear. "Pete!" He yells to his older brother who is riding a horse. Edmund and I are still on Ludwig, however griffins are only strong enough to carry one person. Ludwig begins to fly lower towards the ground where the rest of the troops are located. He lands rather roughly making me cry in agony.
"What happened?!" I hear Peter ask.
"Terrain!" Caspien says grabbing my hand. I smile once I see his face which was drenched in fear and concern. I ever so slightly tighten the grip on my brother's hand feeling weaker and weaker every second. "We have to do something!"
"Lucy has her healing elixir back at the Howe. If we get Terrain back in time we can save her," I hear Ed say.
"You're right Ed!" Soon all the voices become muffled afterwards. I can't hear what everyone is saying. I feel a pair of strong arms wrap around my body and carries me0 Ludwig. I slowly open my eyes to see Peter.
"Don't worry Terrain, I've got you" He whispers as he lifts me onto his horse. He gets on the horse after and rests my head on his chest. I hold my wound trying to stop as much blood from flowing as possible.
Suddenly I start to choke on my blood. "Oh my god Ter!" Peter says worriedly. He puts his hand on the small of my back and pushes me forward. I begin to puke out more blood than in I think I have in my body. Finally when I stop, I wipe my face and collapse back into Peter's chest.
"Sorry," I mumble.
"It's alright... just hold on a little longer. I promise I'll get you to Lucy."
"Don't promise something that you can't keep."
"But I will keep this one." His voice cracks halfway through the sentence. I look up to him, his face is filled with fear, worry and affection. I don't understand why he is showing so much emotion, love, care?
"Why do you want to save me? I'm worthless, probably better off dead." My voice is raspy and the metallic taste still lingers on my tongue.
"You are not worthless Terrain. You're anything but. You are a courageous young women who loves her brother dearly and will protect anyone she loves." he pauses for a moment... "that's why you saved Edmund by taking the dagger."
