"Where's Lucy?!" I wake up to the sound of Peter's voice asking where his youngest sister was. I open my tired eyes to see that it is no longer night, but midday.
"Hey Terrain, how are you feeling?" I look to the side and see Ed. His eyes were bloodshot red, his face is tear stained, and he is wearing an expression of worry. I try to move so I could see him better but instead I cry out in pain. "Don't move." He grabs my hand with his left hand and strokes my hair with his right.
"Hey!" I hear my brother yell angrily. I am not the one who abandoned Narnia."
"You invaded Narnia. You have no more right to lead it than Miraz does." Peter states. I look at Edmund with a guilty face. He gives me a forced smile, and squeezes my hand tighter. "You, him, your father... Narnia's better off without the lot of you!" Peters words struck me like lightning. How dare he speak of our father that way. Just as the boys pulled their blades from their holsters, I try to sit up. I scream in agony as I am in so much pain.
"Stop it!" I hear Ed say from beside me. He picks me up from my horse, being as gentle as he can, and lays me on the ground. My eyes are shut tight, the pain is too unbearable. The light is so blinding, everyone's voices are becoming muffled and then I cannot see nor hear anyone.
"Terrain... Terrain." I hear my father's voice. I turn around and see my father and approaching him was a little girl. Suddenly they were walking in the castle gardens.
"Sorry father, Caspian and I were playing in the woods again."
Father chuckles, "that's quite alright dear one." He grabs my hand and begins to walk into the greenhouse. "What were you and your brother playing this time?" He asks with a smile on his face.
"We were playing Kings and Queens. Caspian was High King Peter and I was Queen Lucy. We were playing battle with some sticks we picked up."
"And who one?"
"Caspian," I huff in annoyance. "He always does."
"You shall win one day sweetheart. And when you do i'll be there." then there was silence. Not an awkward silence but a peaceful one.
"Father?"
"Yes darling."
"While I ever grow up to be as strong, wise and kind as the Kings and Queens of Old?" My father kneels down before me, putting both of his hands on my shoulders.
"My dear, you are going to grow up to be just as strong, kind, and wise as the Kings and Queens of Old. You will be loved by all you meet, and fall in love with a lucky man."
"Will I ever hurt the people I love?"
"Right before your mother passed away she told me that if I loved her, I would have to let her go. And the only thing that I had left was a hole in my life where your mother should be," he pauses, he's on the verge of tears. "Your mother, I had to let her go. But she gave me the most precious thing in life before she went. She gave me you and Caspian. Terrain you want a love that consumes you. You'll only ever hurt someone you love if you didn't feel the way I felt for your mother."
With that, I no longer saw my father or the little girl. I saw Edmund and Peter. All I need to figure out is; who consumes me with love? And who do I love enough to let go?

Sorry it took so long! I'm on spring break and hopefully I can write a lot more. Enjoy reading 📖😉
