Oh Haruka! What Happened To You?!

Heh, you really are something, Queen Kanra. It's not Kanra anymore. It's Kaede Uchiha. Get it right you miserable peasant. Don't you dare try to bring me to the dark side ever again!

I kept thinking about what Orochimaru said and it bothered me a bit. How am I changing the future? Why did HE, of all people, give me this advice? Did he want to protect me? Naw, he might be pulling my leg for the hell of it. But, I still have to be careful.

Today is the start of the preliminaries for the Chunnin exams. I really didn't want to miss it, but I really needed to fill up on my royalty info.

I jumped out of bed and took a peek at my calendar. Today was my mother's birthday, my FAKE mother.  I skipped to the living room and looked around at my sleeping friends/guardians. Nasir was sitting on the chair, not making a sound. Melissa was laying on the couch, with her head in her arms and Darius and Jason were both laying on the floor (NOT TOGETHER!!!), knocked out.

Awww! They look so peaceful! Eh, time to wake 'em up. "ALRIGHT PEOPLE, WAKE UP!!!!! WE GOTTA GO!!! MOVE IT!!!!" I yelled while clapping my hands as hard I could. They all woke up, scared as hell. "What the deuce, Kaede! You could have woken us up gently!" Nasir grumbled while holding his heart.

 "Oh, you're fine! Now hurry up, we gotta go somewhere." I told them. "Yeah, well that doesn't mean you have to yell like a freakin' lunatic!" Melissa said. "Oh, whatever! Just hurry up." I said, agitated.

"Come on! I know you're here!" We were in that secret place where that weird dog-bird brought me. "Yo, Haruka! Wake the fuck up!"

Suddenly, a large gust of wind blew a large amount of Sakura petals from the trees. "Ugh, you woke me up! Is there anything you need?" Haruka appeared looking a bit worn out and old. "Uh, are you okay? You look a little...uh.....tired. She sighed and rubbed her temples. "Something doesn't feel right. But, I just don't know what." Haruka replied. "Anyway, is there something wrong?"

"Well, I came here to ask you something. My neck has been hurting a lot lately, it's not like an ache or anything. My neck just feels like it's burning." My guardians glanced at me, a worried look plastered on their faces. Haruka looked scared, her eyes were looking me up and down. "You haven't noticed have you? Your neck has been hurting because you have the dark mark." My guardians looked at me, scared out of their wits.

"So, that means Orochimaru's getting much stronger." Haruka pondered on this for a while. "Wait?! That means he has been using my chakra to get stronger! But.....how?" I looked at her like she was crazy. What is this girl talking about?! How can I have the Dark Mark? I've seen myself so many times in the mirror and I never saw anything different!
