Everyone sees what people want them to see. Lying is so easy when no one wants the truth. If you plaster on a smile and say "I'm fine" nothing is ever really wrong. Only those who care about you can hear you when you're quiet. Phillip Michael Lester try's to see the good in people. But he always sees the darkness bubbling inside them.
On the surface Phil is a happy guy who usually is seen hanging with the upbeat crowd. Phil has many friends who are very special to him. His best friends are mostly pastel and cheerful people. Phil seems happy, but every now and again he drops a hint at his true feelings. No one ever catches on. What people don't realize is that Phil attaches himself to happy people to have their happiness fill the gaping void inside his soul.
People care about Phil and Phil cares about people. But, Phil's been quiet for a long time now.
And no ones been listening.
