"What the heck is going on?" Kyle asked to himself as Guisen, or 'Mr. Noyal' as the cat man preferred to be called while teaching, instructed the class on the rules of the facility. By now, Kyle had figured out that the 'facility' was nothing more than a school to train summoners. Though, that would be great if that was all it was, but judging from what he'd heard so far it was also being used to secretly find a new dark lord away from the kingdom's eyes. And that, Kyle worried, was basically treason seeing as all of the previous dark lords had attacked the kingdom with their armies of monsters. But still, how hadn't anyone figured out that the summoners were doing this yet?

Regardless of what the guild was doing, Kyle determined himself to sit through the rest of the day until he could go home and tell his parents about what was going on. Though on that thought, he finally remembered that part of being accepted as an applicant was that he had agreed to spending at least a year within the guild, which ment that they most likely wouldn't open the portal for him so that he could return. So what would he do for entire year in this place? He could attempt to escape, though he had no idea where in the world this facility possibly resided and the summoners here would most likely have an easy time in capturing him. Fighting against them wasn't an option as he was horribly weak, so what options did that leave him? And as Kyle thought about this, part of him was still hoping that this was all some kind of joke. Though he knew that it wasn't thanks to the tingling feeling that his head had suffered after following along with everyone else during the oath.

That tingling sensation, Kyle knew, was his body resisting some kind of magic that would have effected his mind. He didn't know what the spell would have done to him, but Kyle was suddenly thankful that he'd grown up with a pair of easily angered mages that had built up his resistance to magic over the years. But while he'd come out of that ordeal thankfully unscathed, now he had to deal with an entirely new delema. Like what these people would do to him once they realized that he hadn't been brainwashed.

"Listen fools!" The guy sitting next to Kyle suddenly shouted as he stood from his seat. He was dressed entirely in black plate armor with a black cape behind him which matched his long black hair and fierce green eyes. On the top of his head were two black and triangularly shaped ears, which Kyle guessed ment that he was a beast man as well, though he certainly wasn't as pure blooded as Guisen as he looked almost completely human save for the ears and overly sharp teeth. "My name is Morgan Crenshaw, and I am aiming to be the next dark lord! And seeing as I am, all of you should realize that you stand no chance! So hurry and surrender your ambitions! Become my servants!"

"Do you really think that a beast man can become a dark lord?!" A girl said angrily at the side of the room, and Kyle turned to see that it was a young and angry elf girl. She had long blonde hair that fell to her mid-back and eyes as green as emeralds, which would have made Kyle's heart skip a beat if he hadn't met the elven friends of his parents before. Their entire race were full of beauties, after all. "Yours is an incompetent race and the only one even worse than humans. In fact, when I become the dark lord, you can be sure that I will completely eradicate your kind in the same day that I ascend to the throne!"

"What did you just say, you filthy tree huger?!" Morgan yelled furiously, and Kyle slightly leaned away as flames actually burst out of the man's eyes. " I'll crush anyone who challenges my position, so anyone that wants to die can go ahead and step forward!"

"My name is Livana Silrin, and I show you your place, you filthy mongrel!" The elf girl yelled, with what looked like lime-green vapors starting to pour out of her own eyes. Unfortunately, Kyle was caught directly in-between the two as he cowered down and hoped that he wouldn't get caught in the middle of their fight.

"Both of you sit down before I show both of you your places." Guisen stated in a tone that sounded like he wasn't amused by their disruption at all. "You will all get your chance to compete against each other, so hold off your rivalry until then."
