In a sort of shocked silence, everyone in the classroom all stared at Kyle as he attempted to look confident. Even Guisen appeared to be at a loss for words before instructor started to clear his through. Though even then, it still took the man some time to gather his thoughts.

"Kyle... that's quite a deceleration." Guisen stated in an uneasy tone. "For anyone else, it might not be such a big deal, but you are one of the most adept candidates in the freshmen class. You have a very promising future ahead of you  and may very well become the new dark lord... are you sure about this?"

"Absolutely." Kyle replied smugly. "I've no ambition for my own to take over the world as a dark lord, however I will follow the next dark lord to the best of my abilities."

This was perfect. Now, Kyle could continue his training without fear of being challenged by the other students. He could grow stronger without any hindrances or self-proclaimed rivals to stop him, and Kyle almost burst out laughing for how smart his plan was.

"So I have lost my rival... but gained a subordinate!" Morgan yelled energetically.

"Subordinate- eh?" Kyle asked, only now seeing a possible flaw in his plan. Would he be bullied now after all simply because people thought that he was their subordinate?

"Your subordinate? Aren't you getting a little full of yourself there, elemental user?" Another guy in the class asked threateningly. "Kyle will be my general, and none of you will even be worthy of licking our feet!"

"Oh? Then come and fight me! Prove yourself!" Morgan stated with a sinister smile.

"G-guys? On second thought-"

"What makes you think that either of you will take him in?" A girl in the back declared. "Only I am worthy of that title."

"Guys?" Kyle asked, panicking as he'd somehow stirred the already burning flames of everyone's ambitions.

"Anyone who wants to die early can come at me!" Morgan yelled. "Flame, be my sword!"

"Light, guide my path!"

"Stone, stand tall!"

"Poison, hear my call!" Looking back in surprise, even Livana preformed a basic summoning before advancing on Kyle and pulling him back.

"This was your brilliant strategy?!" Livana asked as her slimes created a makeshift shield in front of them just in time before Morgan's elemental exploded, sending chairs and desks flying in all directions.

"It went better in my head." Kyle stated hopelessly. "What's wrong with everyone?"

"Now they're not just competing to be the dark lord, but they're going to compete for you to be their general to!" Livana stated angrily. "If someone has a general with as good of summoning ability as you backing them, it'll increase their chances of being the next dark lord by several fold!"

"Eh?!" Kyle asked in pure hopelessness now. "But I made sure to that I would only follow the next dark lord!"

"Saying that to people who already think that they are the next dark lord... of course it would give them even more cause to get rid of the competition!" Livana sighed while shaking her head. "Seriously, I don't want you as a general if you can mess up this badly!"

Their conversation suddenly ended as Livana's slime shield was completely eradicated in front of them by a focused stream of fire.

"So you think to get ahead of me, do you Livana?" Morgan asked while grinning fiercely. "I'll show you all here and now that I will be the one to be the next dark lord!"

"Time to leave!" Livana suddenly announced before dragging Kyle towards the edge of the classroom and surprising him by jumping out of the window that had been shattered just the other day. Though, her jumping didn't surprise him nearly as much as the fact that she'd pulled him through the window as well. And now all he could do was let out a mental scream as he plummeted through the air and the courtyard got closer and closer beneath them.

"Poison, hear my call!" Livana summoned her slimes again, and surprisingly the monsters all gathered beneath them before the two splashed into the slimes, getting filthy and covered by slime but thankfully walking away alive afterwards. A few seconds later, a smaller splash could be heard as Gobby followed them in jumping out of the class room, though Kyle then watched in horror as his former rival and current villain leaped from the window as well, not landing on the slimes but rather the stone walkway below the window and shattering the surface with his feet when he landed.

"You gotta be kidding me..." Kyle looked on in amazement as Morgan rose from his crouching position, seeming to be completely unshaken from his three story fall as he still had the fierce smile on his face.

"Hey Livana, are you underestimating me?" Morgan asked. "I think it's high time that I put you in your place!"

"Not so fast!" Kyle looked over to surprisingly see the second years that they'd defeated before running into the courtyard. "The only worthy dark lord is me, so get both of your grubby hands off of my general!"

"You again? Didn't you face enough humiliation the first time?" Morgan asked while losing his smile. And just as Kyle thought that there would be another fight, several detonations blew out the windows of several different classrooms of the mansion as the sound of fighting could be heard all around them.

"What the heck is going on?!" Kyle asked in pure bafflement.

"News sure travels fast." Livana laughed slightly to herself. "Things will die down after a while, but for now, you need to make yourself scarce!"

"But what about you?!" Kyle asked, thinking that he'd already dragged her into enough trouble when all she could summon was slimes.

"I'll be better off without having to pull you everywhere, so just wait where we fought the zombies last night!" Livana yelled as the courtyard suddenly became a swarming hive of every kind of monster imaginable as all of the summoners battled each other. "Go!"

"Gobby, let's go!" Kyle yelled, and his familiar freed itself from a pair of struggling kobolds before jumping on Kyle's back as he fled from the mansion. On his way, the sounds of fighting dimmed before he finally reached the graveyard full of zombies. And now that he was there, he started cursing himself all over again as his 'plan' had caused much more harm than he'd ever thought that it would. He's successfully negated the introductory spell, but he had also possibly risked Livana's health and life in the process. And even if she didn't feel the same way, Kyle thought that she'd become his first... something similar to a friend since he'd arrived at this place. However, that was possibly over now, and it had been just because he was to scared about both the mind control and possible future battles...

"Gobby... are you alright?" Kyle asked lowly as Gobby climbed off of his back and stood in front of him with her new short bow at the ready. She looked at him with curious eyes, but gave him a thumbs-up as to his question.

"Hey... I'm probably going to get into a lot of trouble in the future. So I guess I'll say that I'm sorry ahead of time. Just in case you get hurt." Kyle continued before putting his hands on Gobby's shoulders and looking into her eyes. "I'm going to get stronger now, for real! I don't care about getting challenged anymore, I just don't want to have to ever leave anyone behind like that again!"

"Yes!" Gobby seemed to copy his determination.

"Good, then let's kill some undead!" Kyle yelled out loud as he turned towards his nearest enemies and raised his hands. "Servants, gather before me!"
