"P-please, Mr. Noyal. Please don't carry this on any longer." Morgan said in a miserable tone, apparently at his breaking point.
"Can't you see that you're killing us?!" The woman directly behind Kyle cried out, though Guisen simply sighed at them from the front of the class room.
"I know that this is hard, but it is also necessary for your futures. Please be patient with it." Guisen almost pleaded with them as he apparently didn't enjoy it either.
"M-mother was hiding the true horrors of the first week." Kyle looked over to Livana to see that she was more pale than he'd ever seen her before. "Truly... this is hell."
"Are you guys serious? We've only been here for two hours..." Kyle asked his classmates as they all groaned around him. So far, the only thing that they'd done in class was to have Guisen teach them, though he guessed that simply siting and listening to lecture was absolute torture for all of these future homicidal maniacs.
"I- I just want to punch something. Please... just one thing." Morgan pleaded. "Hey Kyle-"
"Don't even think about it." Kyle sighed. "Now shut up, I'm trying to pay attention."
"Ha... as expected of my rival. You don't seem to be phased by this at all." Morgan regained his challenging grin. "Then I will suffer through it as well!"
"Whatever, just shut up!" Kyle replied angrily, looking up at the front of the room as Guisen continued the lecture.
"As I was saying before, the magic of a summoner based on the six elements, just like a mage's. Those elements are fire, water, earth, wind, darkness and light." Guisen continued. "Each element has it's weaknesses and strengths compared to the others. Like a monster made from a water attribute will be more effective against one made fire. However, that's about where our similarity end as summoners gain an additional trait to our magic that mages do not have. One that we call a 'form."
"Kyle... I may not be able to go on after all." Morgan stated in a struggling tone, and Kyle sighed at the man before he looked around the classroom in shock to see that most of the students had already fallen unconscious.
"Forms are individual traits given to different summoners to define their magic, or in other words, it effects what an individual will summon. For example, if a summoner just had the fire element, they might be able to summon all manner of monsters that are available to the element. However, if their form is perhaps say that of a lizards, then they will summon salamanders and minor dragons instead of the other creatures." Guisen explained, and despite everyone else's attitudes, Kyle paid close attention as he knew that this information could only help him get stronger. "People with the same element but different forms will summon different things, and I'll use Mr. Grandell and Ms. Silrin as an example. Kyle has that of the darkness element with the form of 'humanoid'. Thus, he is able to summon gremlins and goblins, beings that meet that exact criteria of his element and form whereas Livana with the darkness element but with the 'corruption' form. As as such, she is able to summon poisonous minions like slimes."
"I can't take this anymore!" A guy at the edge of the classroom suddenly yelled our before running to over to the window and jumping out of it, shattering the glass in the mean time as he chased after freedom.
"Hey, isn't this classroom on the third floor?!" Kyle asked with both shock and concern.
"That lucky punk..." Morgan gritted his teeth.
"Some slight variants do occur in this system at times, but for the most part, this is how a summoner's magic works." Guisen surprisingly continued without paying any heed to his escapee. "There are three spells which you will use and master while you are here at Facility Six. Basic Summoning, which all of you should already know. Flash Summoning, which will be used during an emergency when you need forces and either do not have enough time to use the other summoning spells or cannot chant, and finally a Colossal Summoning, which takes a tremendous amount of magic but will bring out the very best of which your current magical power can handle."
"Uh, Mr. Noyal, don't you think that we should make sure that that guy is okay?!" Kyle asked frantically, thinking that the man was probably laying either dead or seriously wounded at the base of the mansion.
"Perhaps if he was thrown, but we've no time to spend on those who jump willingly." Guisen replied coldly. "Actually, I'm rather surprised that there's only been one incident this year. Last year, five people had jumped by this point in time."
"Just how much do you people hate learning?!" Kyle asked in shock, though no one answered him as Guisen continued the lecture.
"Y-you win this time, Kyle..." Kyle turned to see that Morgan was completely comatose on his desk, and with one quick look to see tat Livana was in the same condition, he started to wonder if this was perhaps a side effect of the oath that Guisen was making them repeat each morning. Again, the spell had washed over him, making his head tingle though this time it was worse then previously, making Kyle think that perhaps that the spell was beginning to erode his resistance to it which worried him more than he cared to admit. He absolutely didn't want to be brain washed, and Kyle thought furiously about how he could protect himself as Guisen continued the lesson.
"After this week of introductory lessons if over, all of you will be free to progress your skills and abilities as you see fit by yourselves. However, you will be taught how to use other magics before we give you complete freedom." Guisen stated with a smile.
"Other magics?" Kyle asked.
"Summoning is a very basic magic in nature, and only a select few choose to follow it's path. Because it is very basic, a summoner can choose to select what is known as a 'sub-class." Guisen explained. "The most common sub-classes are 'fighter' and 'sorcerer'. If a fighter is chosen, then the summoner can adopt similar skills to that of a regular warrior's class, and the sorcerer is similar to that of a mage or wizard. That is why the dark lords of the past have been so powerful."
"What about for someone that can't do either of those things." Kyle asked hopefully, knowing full well that he didn't have the fitness or the destructive capabilities for being either of those things.
"There are other skills that you can learn, so do not worry, Mr. Grandell." Guisen stated with a smile, and now, Kyle smiled to himself as he actually had a reason to look forward to his time at the facility. However, even if he was going to get stronger, he still had the very pressing issue with the brain washing spell to think about. Though that could come later, as with Gobby sleeping on the floor beside Kyle's desk and his normally loud classmates all passed out from overusing their brains, Kyle sat back in his chair and basked in the silence and normality that he knew that he probably wouldn't see again after his first week was over with.
