"Just how deep does this place go underground?" Livana asked, even though neither she or Morgan seemed to be phased by how far they had already walked. Though Kyle, on the other hand, was breathing heavily while leaning on his new staff as they walked down the stairs. And since going down the endless stairs was this tiresome for him, Kyle was secretly started to plan to have his minions carry him back up to the surface when they returned before a loud shrieking sound filled the air around them. The air above the suddenly filled with bats pouring down from the ceiling, apparently disturbed by the light that Soot provided from Morgan's hand.

"I'll take care of this!" Livana announced, making the three green slimes in front of her spread to form a dome around them that the bats hit and stuck to. The bats immediately started being corroded away as soon as they hit the slime, though they disappeared completely when arrows from Kyle's twenty goblin archers hit them through the slime barrier. Soon, the group wasn't able to see though the thin wall of slime thanks to the amount of arrows and bats caught inside of it it before Livana's slimes finally fell back to the floor as the monsters consumed both the bats and arrows alike.

"Well, you can take care of the fodder at least." Morgan smirked at Livana, causing her to grow noticeably annoyed as Kyle looked between the two with a hopeless expression. There was no way that even Morgan would have been able to deal with such small and nimble opponents quickly, though he refused to acknowledge Livana for making up for his weakness. And Livana, who apparently was deliberately forgetting every single monster that faced in the tomb seemed intend on insisting that Morgan was weak and an imbecile even though he was the only reason that they'd been able to get this far. The two would make a strong team, Kyle thought, if only they could get along.

"Ah, the boss room is up ahead!" Morgan said excitedly, and Kyle staggered to the bottom of the stairs before resting on his staff, wheezing as his thin body could't handle this much exercise. And as he wheezed, he confirmed his plans in making his minions carry him out of the tomb as he doubted that he would even get halfway back up the stairs before he keeled over and died.

"Kyle, what are you doing?! Hurry up!" Livana yelled back as Morgan was already opening the door, and Kyle sluggishly moved forward while bemoaning the fact that he was the only one there that was exhausted. Though his condition was ignored as he stepped through the open boss room door to find that he was  standing inside of large circular room lined with lit torches illuminating the multiple bookshelves that completely covered the walls. It appeared to be a massive library with a small section at the far end of the room set up with a bed with a large wooden desk that were placed directly in front of the only other door in the room. A chilling feeling passed Kyle as he entered, but everyone's attention was focused towards the table now as a figure wearing a summoner's robe was currently sitting at hit while reading a book.

"Hey person! Who are you?!" Morgan asked rather angrily, and Kyle was worried about what the man might do if someone other than them had already killed the boss monster. Though as soon as Morgan finished speaking, the person at the desk snapped their book closed loudly, causing a loud thumping sound to echo throughout the room before they finally started rising out of their chair to face him.

"How rude..." The voice, which Kyle guessed belonged to a man, wheezed. "Back in my day, summoners had at least a small amount of respect for their elders. Though I suppose that those times are long past.'

"I believe that I asked u a question." Morgan stated impatiently as he walked closer to the man. "Who are you, and where is this tomb's boss monster?!"

"And an idiot to boot." The man sighed before taking off the hood that was covering his head and revealing that man was wearing some kind of black mask that covered his entire face. The mask was completely black save for the eyes, where two small gems seemed to glowed blue while giving the man an almost ghostly look.  Upon closer inspections, Kyle thought that the gems could have been sapphires, though they both glowed so brightly that that he couldn't actually tell for sure. "My name is Tiril Harvend of the Summoner Guild, and it is my minions that you hooligans have been slaughtering relentlessly for the past few days."

"So those undead were yours?" Kyle asked curiously, having previously thought that they had just been brainwashed wild monsters.

"Of course they were, you dolts!" The man spat in rage. "Do you have any idea how busy I've been recently having to replace my forces, just to have them killed over and over again by your pitiful slimes and goblins?! I realize that it is my duty to provide new summoners with opponents to face, but you lot have been worse than an army that's arrived at my doorstep! Seriously, I feel like I'm defending the dark lord's castle from the mortal army all over again!"

"So if you're the one that keeps the undead, that means that you the last boss, am I right?" Morgan asked fiercely, and Kyle gave him a curious look in return.

"Hey... even if he is the one that creates the undead, he's still a summoner like us. He might even be an instructor." Kyle attempted to be a voice of reason in a place that desperately needed one.

"You... dare put me on the same level as you brats?!" Tiril asked loudly before what looked like a shroud of darkness covered every inch of the surrounding walls, snuffing out all of the torches and only leaving Morgan and a few of Kyle's goblins that had their own torches as their only sources of light. "I am Tiril Harvend, general to three dark lords of the past with the title of Dominator of the Underworld! You dare put me on the same level as you weaklings?! I will show you your place!"

"Then come, Dominator of the Underworld! Come to your doom!" Morgan replied extravagantly as Soot once again took the form of a sword in his hands. "Flame, by my sword!"

"This guy's barrier has blocked the exit... the only way past is to defeat him, summoner or not!" Livana stated grimly. "Poison, hear my call!"

"I can't believe we're really doing this!" Kyle stated his thoughts out loud. Dark lords didn't just take anyone in as their generals, and if what Tiril had said was true, then he saw very little hope that they could survive. Regardless, there was nothing that they could do about it now that the man was attacking them. "Servants, gather before me!"

"Dominion! Lay waste to those before me!" Tiril yelled out while waving his hand in front of him. And soon, Kyle looked on in tense anticipation as several hundred undead of all kinds filled the large room, though it didn't seem nearly as large now as the floor was entirely packed with monsters.

"You two handle the fodder!" Morgan yelled out before shocking Kyle once again by leaping over the army of undead entirely with his sword raised above him. Soaring through the air, Morgan landed right where Tiril had been standing, though the scene was soon lost to Kyle as an inferno blinded everything in the room. "This man's head is mine!"
