"Alright, time for bed!" Kyle attempted to make a joke as the sun had already risen behind the ever present cloud cover above the facility an hour ago. With a large yawn, he drowsily looked at the twenty-six minions in his room that he'd managed to finally summon. He'd practiced his basic summoning spell all night, and was now able to make a small army by himself, though they were still only gremlins and goblins. And from what Guisen had told him yesterday, apparently the minions would get more powerful and different creatures would become available once he improved both his technique and magical power. Though right now he didn't feel as if he'd improved anything as he sluggishly walked over to his room's separated washroom so that he could take a bath and get ready for the day. He didn't know at what time the bell would ring and classes in the facility would start, but he didn't want to be late for them either. After all, who knew what the punishment for being tardy would be in a place like this?

"Gobber, are you going to have a bath to?" Kyle asked while looking at his bed where Gobber was still sleeping. Last night, his familiar had thrown the covers of the single bed over itself before falling into a deep sleep while Kyle practiced. "Gobber? Are you even going to wake up today?"

"Nyaaah." Gobber's high pitched voice replied as the gremlin rolled over beneath the covers.

"If you're going to start meowing, then I'm going to have to find you a cat collar." Kyle joked before moving over to the bed. "Come on, it's time to get up."

"No!" Gobber complained, and Kyle was surprised as this was the first time that Gobber had spoken in the common tongue. Though that didn't matter right now.

"If you don't get up now, then I'm going to lock you inside of the room all day." Kyle threatened before grabbing hold of the covers and yanking them away. And while he had expected to see his familiar's sloppy form underneath, Kyle became shocked there wasn't a gremlin underneath the covers but a goblin instead.

"G-Gobber. Is that you?" Kyle asked in amazement. His other minions hadn't spoken before, so the fact that this one had gave him ample cause to ponder about it.

"Yes." Gobber replied simply, and Kyle broke out into a wide smile as his familiar appeared to have grown stronger.

"Good job Gobber, you've grown into a goblin!" Kyle laughed happily while scooping his familiar up in his arms and dancing around with him. No longer was his a familiar just a gremlin in a loincloth, but now a goblin with both ragged shorts and even a small shirt.

"Release! Release!" Gobber growled, making Kyle wonder if the increase in vocabulary came with his friend's new form before the jerk bit into his arm and both of them broke apart with Gobber falling to the ground and Kyle blowing on his arm to make the pain go away.

"Hey! What'd you do that for!" Kyle yelled at his familiar.

"Stupid human!" Gobber yelled back at him before pointing back at the bed. "Sleep!"

"It's not time for that anymore. Bath!" Kyle replied just as loudly before advancing on his familiar once again. Though Gobber wasn't having any of it as he jumped up onto Kyle's dresser, moved around the edge of the room and started running for the door. And while Kyle was weak, he was still thankfully as fast as a goblin as he tackled Gobber and both of them started rolling on the floor in a fight. A fight that Kyle eventually won as he carried the protesting Gobber into the wash room and almost threw his familiar inside of the already filled bath tub before he noticed a worried look on Gobber's new and sharper face.

"Hey, there's no need to be scared of the bath, you've been inside of one before." Kyle mentioned, now not willing to force the creature if it was afraid of the water.

"No scared!" Gobber protested.

"Then why don't you want to take a bath?" Kyle asked.

"Gaaah! Pervert human!" Gobber yelled back, and Kyle felt completely dazed by the insult as he'd never expected to be called that before.

"Perv- How the heck am I a pervert when I'm just trying to get you to take a bath?!" Kyle yelled out in protest. "If you haven't noticed, you stink, and I'm already going to have enough problems today without my class trying to kill me because of you!"

"No stink! Rude! Pervert!" Gobber protested before finally wiggling out of Kyle's grasp and running to the far side of the washroom.

"Seriously, you didn't have a problem with taking a bath before, so why now?" Kyle sighed.

"Changed!" Gobber replied while covering himself in a strange manor that Kyle had seen somewhere before, though it took a while before Kyle realized it had been when he'd accidentally walked in on his sister while she was in the rest room at their home.

"W-wait... Gobber, you're not a girl, are you?" Kyle asked, with Shelly's previous advice about gremlin's genders returning to him.

"Yes! Stupid human!" Gobber yelled, and Kyle sighed to himself as he still didn't realize what the problem was. It wasn't as if he was 'into' goblins and monsters after all.

"Fine, then can you take a bath by yourself?" Kyle asked, and Gobber immediately nodded in confirmation. "Good, then you can take the first bath. And don't eat the soap this time!"

"Tasty!" Gobber yelled in complaint behind him.

"No it isn't! We'll get some breakfast after our baths, so just hurry up!" Kyle replied before plopping down on his bed and wondering just what other evolution Gobber might go though as he got stronger as a summoner. 'If' he got stronger as a summoner. It was still entirely likely that he would get killed in a place like this, especially due to his new 'rival', whom Kyle suspected would easily defeat him. And as he thought about it, Kyle had to catch himself several times as his eyes drifted closed and he nearly fell asleep on the bed.

Thankfully, Gobber was soon out of the washroom, and it was now Kyle's turn to take a bath as he went in and cleaned himself. Though now that he was surrounded by warm water, he found that it was even harder to stay awake, and he even had to be woken up once by Gobber beating on the washroom's door before he finished bathing in a hurry. Who knew which of his possessions Gobber would eat when the goblin got hungry enough? Though when Kyle asked himself that, another thought entered his mind.

"Hey Gobber, can I ask you something?" Kyle asked curiously as he walked out of the washroom fully dressed, and the goblin looked up at him curiously. "To be honest, when I named you Gobber, I entirely thought that you were a boy. So the name Gobber doesn't really fit anymore, does it?"

"Nope!" Gobber agreed enthusiastically.

"How about Gobbett then, or maybe Gobby?" Kyle pondered out loud before Gobby walked up to him and kicked him hard in the shin.

"Stupid human!" Gobby yelled before walked past the now hopping Kyle and opening the dorm room's door.

"Hey! What's there not to like about it?!" Kyle asked, slightly offended that she didn't like her new name as his familiar started walking down the hallway. "Hey Gobby, wait up! I can think of worse names you know!"
