"Just what do you think you're doing?!" A man's voice shouted angrily from inside of the room that Morgan had just barged into, and Kyle turned around and started walking back in the direction that they had come from before Livana caught his arm and dragged him into the room behind Morgan.

"Wait, Morgan!" Livana called out, but it was to late.

"Summoners or not, it is proper to greet the guests to your home personally, yet we met nothing but servants of plants!" Morgan growled. "I will not accept such disrespect!"

"Summoners..." The man's voice said in a low tone, and Kyle finally entered to room to see a stuffy looking man and woman sitting at a glass table which was piled with what looked like folders. "How bothersome."

"I wish you well, Magistrate Rayvell." Guisen greeted the man at the table politely as he entered. And you as well, Lady Norin."

"Guisen Noyal..." Rayvell said as he stood on his feet. "Due to the fact that you're here along with my daughter, am I to assume that something happened at Facility Six?"

"You... dare to ignore me..." Morgan's voice shook with rage, and the man appeared to be about to spring forward and attack the elves at any given moment before Kyle moved forward and tugged slightly at his arms.

"Calm down. Right now they outrank us." Kyle whispered to Morgan. "If you attack them now, then you might make both the Elven Kingdom as well as the Summoner's Guild your enemy. Just wait until you advance your rank, then you can have revenge."

"First you show up unexpectedly, and then you even see fit to conspire against us while in our presence..." Norin said as she gazed towards Morgan and Kyle. "It seems to me that, rather than us being terrible hosts, you are terrible guests instead... I'd advise you to not try anything while you are here, else I may accidentally drop you from the tree."

"Try it and I'll burn this entire garden of yours to the ground with the castle included!" Morgan shouted in reply.

"Livana, we really must speak about the company that you keep later." Rayvell sighed before looking back towards Guisen. "I'll ask again. What business do you all have here?"

"An incident has occurred at Facility Six, and the headmaster there has ordered the transfer of myself as well as these students to Facility Three." Guisen answered. "We wished to stop and inform you before we continued on our travels."

"Facility Three?! What in The Deep's name did our daughter do to get sent into that gathering of filth?!" Rayvell demanded while glaring at Livana, who could only look away from his gaze as she shied away.

"On the contrary of doing anything against the guild, these three actually managed to kill Tiril Harvend despite having only been at the facility for a single week." Guisen responded. "It was unfortunate that the lich was a friend to the headmaster there, but he couldn't do anything against these candidates other than transfer them."

"These two killed Tiril Harvend?" Rayvell said with new interest as he looked between Morgan and Kyle.

"Livana destroyed her fair share of the man's minions herself." Kyle stated, knowing full well that the man was purposefully looking over her as he'd been in the same situation as she was in himself before. "Things most likely would have turned out differently if she hadn't been there."

"I could have defeated both the lich and his minions by myself had I been serious." Morgan declared while looking reproachfully at Kyle.

"One is a coward that avoids violence and the other is an arrogant fool." Rayvell stated while looking at both of them. "Despite this, you must have some ability at least or you wouldn't be standing in front of me today."

"I will forgive you one more time, old man." Morgan glared at Rayvell. "But if you insult me again, I promise that you will not live to see the night fall on your castle."

"Morgan!" Livana said in a panic, though her quiet voice was cut off suddenly as Rayvell started laughing hysterically.

"He may be a fool, but he'd the first summoner that I've seen in a long time that's actually acted the part that we're all trying to achieve!" Rayvell laughed before smiling broadly at Morgan. "I suppose I should apologize for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Rayvell Silrin, Magistrate to the king and representative of the elves of Enmit. This is my wife, Norin Silrin, and we would be honored to be your hosts for the next week."

"Unfortunately, we do not have that long to stay." Guisen replied for everyone else. "Though if we could trouble you for only tonight, then we would be honored ourselves."

"Only a single night?" Rayvell asked, seeming to actually be disheartened before he smiled once more. "I suppose that is fine, though I was hoping to have the youngsters show their abilities. They must be quiet the adepts in order to defeat Tiril."

"I believe that I would like that as well." A new voice said from behind everyone, and Kyle turned to see a young elf that appeared to be only a few years older than Kyle. Though with how the elves aged differently than humans, Kyle knew that looks could be deceiving. The man had long green hair, just like his father. Though unlike his father, he had a grin on his face that for some reason sent shivers down Kyle's spine. And with him appeared another tall woman, which was most likely Livana's sister that he'd heard about.

"Naya? We weren't expecting you here until this afternoon!" Norin said in a delighted tone as she got out of her seat to great her eldest daughter, and Kyle couldn't help but notice that the way that the newcomer was being treated by her parents was completely different than how they were treating Livana.

"I was planning to spend the day in the city, but when I heard that my darling little sister was here I just couldn't help but to rush home." Naya stated with a shrug as she looked towards Livana. "It's good to see you again, Livana. I trust that you've been well?"

"I have." Livana replied with a glare.

"Hmm... as cold as ever, aren't you?" Naya laughed slightly before becoming beginning to speak with a quiet voice. "Seeing as you're here, does that mean that you're not worthless anymore?"

"Better than you, at least." Livana replied to the challenge.

"Oh? Is that so?" Naya, smiled again, though now Kyle saw that that sweet smile that she had on her face was completely fake. "Then how about we have a small sparring match tonight? My wraiths against your... slimes."

"Come now, dear sister." Cylric, Livana's elder brother, turned towards Naya. "Don't embarrass her to much, would you? Otherwise she'll disappear for several more years just like last time."

"I'm never losing to either of you ever again!" Livana shouted angrily. "And to prove that, I'll take you both on tonight!"

"Hmm... you seem quite confident." Rayvell said in another interested tone, seeming to look at Livana with curiosity now instead of just disappointment. "But there are rules to these kinds of things you know, and two summoners dueling against just one isn't allowed, so pick someone here to be your partner."

"Alright, then I pick Kyle." Livana replied immediately.

"Wha-?! Hey, don't I get to have any say in this?!" Kyle asked in a shocked tone before walking over to Livana. "Wouldn't you stand a better chance if you chose Morgan instead? Or even Mr. Noyal?!"

"Nonsense. Everyone here are my rivals, but you on the other hand are my general, so stop doubting yourself and strengthen your resolve!" Livana snapped back at Kyle, making him feel disheartened as he knew that he most likely wasn't going to get out of his predicament. What were their summoning abilities again? Wraiths and... oh yeah... dragons! How were his goblins supposed to fight against someone who could summon dragons?!

"Then it's decided. Livana and Kyle will be sparring against Cylric and Naya." Guisen announced, and Kyle slumped his shoulders as he knew that there was absolutely no way to get out of his situation now. Instead, perhaps it was time to start thinking about a plan. A plan that could allow his goblins to fight some of the most legendary creatures ever known in Enmit's history. Though as Kyle thought of that, he also remembered that he wasn't exactly the best person at making plans, and the future looked grim for him as everyone save for one person grew excited for the upcoming night.
