"I don't know what happened. He just called me and - and," she couldn't finish her sentence.
Christina looked in my direction with fear in her eyes immediately going to her contacts to talk with Corbyn about this situation. I nodded my head in her direction as she walked out of the cafe trying to sort out what has just unfolded in front of us.
I could see the tears slowly make their way down Ali's face as heartbreak was plastered all over her body. She would cuddled into her blanket as it was small sobs were heard through the phone.
"Ali, what did he say to you?" I tried to understand their argument.
Hearing my words only reminded her that there could be a sad end to their once happy relationship. Her eyes were swollen from how long she had shed tears as she tried to wipe them away quickly not wanting to break down in front of me again.
She worked hard to keep her breathe steady as it was still in a rocky state. I could tell that she tried to hide her emotions and tried to conceal her sadness, but always failing. She couldn't fake her feelings.
"He told me it was hard to balance a relationship with me and his career. I know it's selfish to ask for me to be his top priority - but I thought that love would be that way. I thought that a relationship would be to put that over anything. Even everything," she stopped thinking of how stupid that sounded.
She gave a sad smile shaking her head in frustration as a few tears would rapidly race down her face.
"I'm so stupid to think he would put me first. He's a celebrity for God's sake!" She yelped before a voice crack was heard in her voice.
"You're far from stupid. If he can't put in enough effort into this relationship, then maybe it wasn't supposed to work out," I tried to comfort her getting a drink of the coffee Christina has gotten me.
"I just wish that for one moment we could forget about how busy we are. Maybe for just one small moment we could just be with each other. Even a split second of purity between us." her tears were dried to her skin as her face was still in a shade of pink.
"Maybe I'm just naive to think that people like us could ever be together. I guess, this is the consequences of falling for someone who doesn't have time for you," her voice was straight.
"Don't say that. You don't mean it," I argued making her look at me confused.
"Sienna, I do. I was too caught up in the moment to see that we would never work. We were just temporary," she finally stated cover her feelings.
"Allison -"
"Kendra's calling. I have to tell her about what's going on. I'll call you soon," she said blankly before leaving me in the dust.
I saw the dull expression rest on Christina's face as she came back shaking her head to me. I frowned knowing that won't be good as she was seated in front me getting a sip of coffee. She wasn't outside long, but the worst situations could happen in the shortest moments.
"Zach's devastated," she sighed making me groan in annoyance.
"What did he say?"
"It's shaky. Something happened in the middle of the night. Corbyn said Zach was acting weird this morning as they headed to the bus and he didn't seem the same. When everyone was asking him, he started to break out crying," she paused shaking her head saddened.
"What was their fight about?"
"Corbyn said Zach kept on mumbling 'its all my fault' over and over again. He explained it was a long distance thing plus their priorities. It seemed very confusing, but very important," she said glumly.
