The elegant woman softly knocked on the door, waiting for an allowance to enter.

"Come in," the deep voice of the man inside said and the woman looked at the guards by the door. They bowed and opened the doors letting the woman in.

"Yoongi! Happy birthday, my boy!" The mother went up to her son and hugged him tightly.

The white haired male quickly pulled away from his mother. Why was she so excited? It was the same every year. The woman will get hyped up for nothing. She would buy him presents, go places with him, introduce him to women. But the boy wanted none of them.

Yoongi sat back on his bed stared through the window, a few birds passing by and happily chirping. They were happy, compared to Yoongi's dark mood.

"Love, I have a present for you." The woman smiled even wider and clapped her hands.

A familiar to Yoongi face entered - Jung Hoseok, the royal animal tamer. The younger boy brought a beautifully decorated old box with all kinds of jewels - rubies, sapphires and diamonds. He waited for a signal by the door and when he saw the sultana nodding, he knelt in front of his master.

Yoongi hated it. He considered Hoseok a friend and seeing him kneeling in front of him just reminded him he couldn't really have friends equal to him. Not ones that will treat him the same as they do with one another.

Yoongi released a deep sigh and grabbed the box from Hoseok's hands, only to notice it was actually pretty heavy.

Hoseok returned to his place by the door interested to see what will happen.

"Come on, son, open it!" Yoongi's mother cheered and closed her son.

The boy lifted the top and stared in the insides of the normal sized box. It had...

An old-fashioned lamp perfectly shining in gold despite it's obvious lack to sunlight. It strongly reminded Yoongi of the ones he read about in the old books in library – the genie lamps.

"Are you serious?" Yoongi lifted his eyebrows jokingly and looked his mother dead in the eyes.

"You don't understand, son. You are now the new sultan and I believe you need to have something special. This was left from you great-great-great grandpa." His mother gently caressed his messy snow white hair. "It's said to have a genie in it." She giggled.

"Mum! I'm not a kid! I don't believe in those kind of things anymore!" Yoongi scowled and slapped her hand away. He hated someone touching his hair.

"Yes, you are a kid. You always will be one in my eyes." The middle-aged woman giggled again. Yoongi had never seen her that happy. "You don't have to try it out now but please do. Just rub it three times."

The woman exited the room but Hoseok stayed, his eyes glued on the golden lamp.

"Won't you try it, my prince?" Hoseok suddenly spoke.

"Hm..." Yoongi thought for a while. "Maybe I should?"

He threw the box somewhere in the room and sat criss crossed as Hoseok closed now curious.

Yoongi looked at the shiny object in his lap and did what he was expected to. He rubbed it.

One time.

Two times.

Three times.

Yet nothing was happening. Yoongi sighed disappointed and threw the lamp on the bed.

"I knew it was useless." He whined scolding himself for trusting such a childish belief.

"What was useless?" An unknown to Yoongi voice was heard from behind making him turn.

There was some blue and yellow smoke. Such a beautiful combination Yoongi thought. The smoke slowly gathered together forming the body of a beautiful blond male. His eyes brown like chocolates but filled with the feeling of home. They were so calming and nice.

"I'm Park Jimin, the genie of the lamp, and I'm here to make your wishes come true."
