The dragons' eyes were all concentrated on Yoongi whose eyes were on Jimin. He didn't understand what was happening. What was with Jimin? What was Jooheon planning? And why would the dragons suddenly become five times bigger, a lot more dangerous and ready to have him for light afternoon snack?
"Jimin, what's going on!?" Yoongi yelled in hopes that the genie heard h over all the noise around them. However, the genie's blank expression didn't change at all.
On the opposite, however, Jooheon shook his head disappointed. "Jimin won't respond to you, Yoongi... My master has the upper hand here."
"You had contract with me." Yoongi hissed at the air spirit who just rolled his eyes.
"And it's over. Now stop whining and give me Jimin's lamp before the dragons have you for light afternoon snack." Jooheon said while smirking.
"Damn, I knew it." Yoongi mumbled under his breath, but quickly brushed it away. "And why exactly do you need the lamp?" He pretended not to know anything and just waited for Jooheon's sorry excuse of explanation.
"Why else!? We want to free Jimin!" The air spirit grinned and hugged Jimin around the shoulders but the genie didn't budge at all.
"What did you do to him?" Yoongi's voice was broken as he stared at Jimin's empty golden eyes and blank face.
"Nothing!" Jooheon snickered. "It's the eclipse, my dear Yoongi! It has different effect on everyone!" Jooheon sat on the edge of the building while Jimin stood still by his side. "Some are violent, some are nostalgic, some are simply driven by their instincts... And others... They are empty and easily manipulated just like our genie friend here."
"Jooheon, please don't do this... You will regret it and it isn't worth it!" Yoongi tried to reason while he was searching for a way to escape the dragons. Something caught his eyes. While Midnight and Sparrow had their orbs really tiny and full of anger, tails swinging around doing more damage to the city, Mr. Poof was watching his siblings confused and only repeated their actions because he seemed unsure of what to really do. Yoongi had to surpress his smirk and gave his saddest and angriest face possible to Jooheon.
"Don't tell me what to do. You know nothing. None of you do." Jooheon hissed as he glared at the prince. "I've always been loyal to you and I'd still be if it wasn't for him. He offered a better life. He offered me happiness and love. But most importantly... He offered me mortality."
Yoongi didn't know how to respond. He knew that most of the creatures were immortal or at least had long lives. However, he never understood their wish to die. For him it was foolish. And maybe that was how every other human being saw it... Mythological creatures had the thing humans craved most - immortality, yet they didn't want it...
Jooheon continued talking about how Yoongi knew nothing, but Yoongi was no longer listening. He was now looking attdndively at Mr. Poof and soon the dragon returned his stare and tilted its head in confusion as if saying 'What's going on here!?'. Yoongi shrugged but pointed at Jooheon quite discreetly and the made a small cross with his fingers. The dragon made nothing to prove it had understood but it was now looking with anger at Jooheon. 'Help.' Yoongi mouthed and that was all Mr. Poof needed to hear.
"And that's why--" Jooheon was interrupted by the loud roar of the reptile on whose back Yoongi swiftly climbed onto. The other two dragons stared confused at their brother and probably would have continued to do so if it wasn't for Jooheon.
"What are you waiting for!?" The dragons steered up. "Get him!" They swang their wings once, twice and were already after Yoongi.
Sparrow bid onto Mr. Poof's tail, making the blue dragon squeak and turn around only to shoot a few fireballs into his brother's face. However, there was one tiny detail which prevented Sparrow from getting hurt - his 'horns' which were just like a complex bone mask on his face, protecting all the important parts. Midnight appeared from the side and headbutted Mr. Poof in the stomach, her horns piercing through the thick scales and drawing some blood, but still not a serious amount of it. Mr. Poof roared even louder and swang its tail knocking Midnight on the ground and getting rid of Sparrow. Yoongi was tightly holding on the back of the blue dragon, doing his best not to fall of because he knew it will lead to his death for certain.
Soon Mr. Poof was diving in to help Yoongi reach Jimin as they were high in the air a while ago. As they closed the shocked air spirit and the black faced genie, Yoongi extended his arm and catches exactly what he was meaning to - Jimin. They rose high in the sky once again, ready for Jooheon's attack.
Jimin just laid on his stomach on the dragon, not moving at all as if he was some sort of doll. Mr. Poof growled softly and send a nice wave of tingling sensation through Yoongi and Jimin's bodies.
Yoongi, no matter how relieved, however, felt as if he was missing something. So he touched his belt to realise the terrific truth - he wasn't the only one to catch what he was aiming for.
He looked down with horror written all over his face as he gazed at the air spirit who had Jimin's lamp in his hands and was lazily swinging it around as if it were a basketball. Jooheon smirked and Yoongi clicked with his tongue, feeling the need to go down and beat him up. However, this wasn't the right solution.
