"Mackenzie get your lazy ass out of bed," I hear my sister say from downstairs. "I'm getting ready," I yell back as I get up to ready. I wore a purple romper with my black converses, then I walked downstairs. As soon as I got downstairs I see a text from Brynn.

fine, but I'm almost there hoe.

All I did was laugh before I grabbed a granola bar and ran to the door. "Bye Mads, see you after school!" I yell at my sister before walking out of the house to Brynn's car. I say to Brynn as I buckle up, "Hey hoe, how ya doing?" she just giggles before replying, "You know, the usual." "You mean obsessing over carson?' I reply to her making her blush." "Oh shut up," she says, her face red as can be, as she pulls out to go to school.

"So I heard the Orlandos are back in town," she says to me as I just freeze in shock. "Kenzie? Kenzie? Hey, you ok?" she asks as I finally get out of my daze. I just reply to her sinking down into my seat, "You know how I feel about one of them."

She just replies back parking, "You still aren't over him?" and I just shake my head. I reply back getting out of the car, "I know I should get over him after what he did, but I can't let those 12 years of friendships go, and especially my crush on him."

She just nods as we walk into the school. "Hey Kenzie, I have to go to my locker right now. text me if you need me." she says hugging me then walking away to her locker. But the thing is I wasn't paying attention, I was just trying to find out why they were back and why he did that.

As soon as I closed my locker a girl comes running to hug me. "KENZIE I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH," she says then I instantly who it was by the voice. I hugged back and then we finally pull away. I reply back in shock. "IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH OMG." and then I ask the first question that comes to mind, "When did you get here? You never told me you were coming back."

You see Lauren and I kept in contact for as long as I can remember. After person who shall not be named never texted me, I knew I at least wanted to talk to lauren.

"Well I didn't tell you cause I wanted it to be a surprise, and also because you know who," she says to me nodding her head to the huge crowd. "Ohhhhh, that's why there was a big crowd over there. I was wondering," I reply to her as we walk over to the front office to get her schedule.

What I didn't realize is that he wasn't complete surrounded and as soon as I got to that part that was open our eyes connected. We stared at each other for a while, and before you knew it I was running. Footsteps echoed from behind me, indicating Lauren was following, but I continued to run. I then texted Brynn to tell her to come to me

After that, I just sank into the bathroom stall and started to let out all the tears I had in my system. Then I hear the door open and two girls walk over to me.

"Hey Kenzie you okay?" I hear brynn say as she slides down the wall next to me. I try to talk but all I could do it stutter through my words, "I- I saa- saw him aag- ainn- and I rrra- an" and as soon as I said that both girls had their arms around me

Lauren then decides to talk, "Kenzie you don't have to worry, we're here for you. Now lets get out cause I don't want to be late on my first day." I laugh as we go to touch ourselves up so it looks like nothing happened.

As we walk out of the bathroom everyone started to stare at me, but I didn't care. I don't need a hot, stupid boy to come ruin my life after ignoring me for 2 years and just come back like everything is fine.

Sadly, Brynn and Lauren both have science while I have math so I said my goodbyes to them and walk to my seat. I sat down and was scrolling through instagram until I heard a hunky voice behind me clear his voice.

Then I turned around to see the two brightest emerald eyes I would never think I would see again.
