"do you have to go?" kenzie says to johnny hugging him with all her might, trying not to bawl as much as she wants to. johnny replies back. hugging her tighter, "I'm sorry kenzie i really am, but this is my dream and i will come back for you. ill make sure to call you every day and night and we will always be together."
"promise?" she says
"promise," he says as he lets go
she watches the car drive away and starts bawling into tears. maddie comes up from behind and hugs her, "did you tell him," maddie says to her sister. kenzie just starts to bawl harder, "i couldn't do it. it would only hurt me and him. i may never see him again." maddie brings her sister closer to her, "he promised you he would come back one day. at least you will still be in contact."
she never heard from him after that day...
